My friend is considering taking her 2 children to dlp in dec, we are thinking of going together to try and keep costs down. Myself and dd have ap' s. does anywhere have rooms that sleep 5 ? If so where ? And would we be able to book package for those 3 and then add myself and dd on at check in ? Thanks x

There are rooms for 5 in the DLH, Newport bay and santa fe. Apart from the DLH they aren't normally included in the discounted offers so it can work out cheaper to have two rooms. You can book santa fe and DLH rooms online but will have to phone to get prices for Newport Bay. When booking you will have to make sure that you pay the upgrade to have the larger room so that you and your daughter can be added at check in. :goodvibes

We are thinking of booking a family room for next year for one adult and I will contact the hotel about a week before arriving to make sure they know we will be adding extras at check in. I don't think they could move us to a smaller room given that we would have paid a supplement for the larger room but just to be on the safe side. :goodvibes

We've had a family room at DLH before - 2 double beds and a single sofa bed, all very comfortable but to be honest with 5 of us, I prefer the space of 2rooms and 2 bathrooms.

Often the family rooms work out the same or dearer than having 2 rooms.

The Explorers hotel would be an option as well - they have rooms for 4 and then you add a crew room on which is a small room adjoining with a set of bunk beds - making it a room for 6
