Have booked a standard room at RPH for over the labor day weekend 2005. We got a rate of $179 for all 5 of us. (It should have been an extra $25 per night for the rollaway but they forget to tell us about that, so they very nicely waived that for us!). It will be 3 adults & 2 children (11 & 16). I am getting really freaked at the thought that the room size is going to be unbearable. Our situation will be that we will be there for 4 nights (3 full days) & we plan on spending every available minute in the parks & really only use the room for sleeping & getting ready. However we will have at least 8 large suitcases with us. Can someone out there please give me some advice about this plan of ours. Is it realistic? If we didn't need to go into some of our luggage are we able to store that at the hotel somewhere other than our room for the length of time of our stay? If needed, we will just have to get an extra room, but this would obviously be our last choice money wise. Thanks heaps..........

The rooms are on the small side. But I think you would be able to survive. The closet will hold several of your suitcases. And You could place the others underneath the sink counter in the bath room. There are a total of six dresser drawers in the dresser. I would take advantage of this by placing in them the basics you will need for the 4 days that you will be there. This will reduce the amount of times you will need to get in the suitcases and reduce your clutter. In addition, think about taking an inflatable mattress instead of asking for a foldaway bed the inflatable can be up at night and put away during the day.

Take it from me and don't sweat the small stuff. The time you spend in the room will be very small compared to the time you spend out and about. IMO save the money and make due. :flower1:

We just returned from there. We had two adults and 3 children. We used an twin size inflatable mattress for our teenager. Nothing was said about using it. There was even a little nook where we could stand it up out of the way.

We loved the hotel, ALL of the employees were so nice. The guard at the gate even gave us a big wave "goodbye" when we left.

Thanks for the advice, my mind has been put at ease a little. The inflatable bed is a great idea but would not work for us (we are coming all the way from Western Australia - via Europe). We will be lugging enough around with us as it is. I think what I was/am concerned about it all the suitcases we will have & how they just eat up a rooms floorspace (even after stacking as many as possible). I refuse to get too stressed about it though - how lucky are we if that is our only problem! Roll on Aug/Sep 05.........
