I like the Haunted MMC design best! I need to get over the Disigns board so I can get some new stuff made since our trip has changed. Plus I am thinking of doing a countdown calendar similar to yours now. I am thinking I can use to help Jack learn days of the week...

I paid off my trip today and we only have 51 days left!!!

I got Eryka the round pearl cage, it looks like a soccer ball and Eryka loves soccer so the choice was easy

I also got Emma and I new suitcases (Eryka didn't want one)

As Tracy said we got our costume supplies so we will be working on getting those ready and we need to get going on the updates since we have 6 days left to tell you about and only 7 weeks to do it

Good morning everyone!! We are 44 days out now and man time is flying!!!

I made my MMC shirt yesterday as well as my LGMH's so if anyone sees them please say hi!!!

I also bought the 3rd piece to my new luggage. I had bought Emma the small one and me the medium size but I realized I would never fit all the princess dresses in them so I went and got the bigger one.

So hopefully we will get to some updating soon as we only have 6 weeks and 2 days left

With the help of awesome Heidi (MRYPNNS) I've bought Ariana's birthday present to give to her while we're in Disney. If you remember, we'd gone to see the Lion King Broadway show and she'd had her heart set on a particular item they had. I misunderstood her choice and got her something else and she's been asking for it....

The Simba mask. It's beautiful and I can't wait to give it to her. To go along with it, I also ordered the Scar mask....

Aren't they incredible? She will love them!

I've swayed from my initial thought to use the traditional logo and instead want to use the Halloween one. It's quirky and perfect for the parties.

Day 6

Wednesday September 28th

As you all know we are celebrating Emma and Ariana’s birthdays, well this day is Ariana’s actual birthday!!!

CanNOT believe my baby girl is turning fifteen this day! Oh where does the time go?? I’m going to make a shirt for her that announces to everyone that day is her birthday. Along with a birthday button pin, I’m hoping this will prompt as many people to say to her Happy Birthday as possible – she will be thrilled and it will make her smile. Can’t get enough of seeing her full blown, genuine, ear-to-ear smiles.

I think I will give Ariana her birthday gifts the day before on our resort day. This will let her take her time opening them and enjoying her presents.


This will be our first of 2 days at Epcot. We wanted to make sure we got there before Food and Wine started and all the crowds came.

Since the night before we will have been at MNSSHP I don’t think I will set the alarm today I of course will still be up very early but I will head to the food court and grab a tea and maybe watch the sun come up. Might also be a good chance to take some early morning pictures around the resort. Tracy if you hear my kids scream its cause they think I’ve left them in Disney World (ok maybe they will be happy!)


Haha! Screams of joy? I’ve never used the alarm in Disney, I get Mickey to call us every morning. Oh wait, isn’t it Stitch that calls? I can’t believe I forget! I remember hoping on our Nov/Dec trip that they’d change it up but it was the same call every morning. Anyway, when the phone rings I hit the speaker button and I think it was Stitch yelling at us to GET UP!

After everyone else gets up we will head out to catch a bus to Epcot. Breakfast today is scheduled for Sunshine Seasons, conveniently located right beside Soarin! I have never eaten here so I am excited to try it out. It’s hard to find a good breakfast place when going to Epcot and I don’t really want to eat at Pop every day. Tracy has graciously agreed to indulge me in eating here since she has not had a good experience here.

Well it wasn’t so much a bad experience as opposed to a disappointing one. I’d really looked forward to trying it out and though my family was happy with what they had – me, not so much love for my Caesar salad. But this is breakfast so I’m up for trying it again!


After breakfast we will hit Soarin (still trying to talk Scaredy Emma into this ride, maybe I will volunteer for the back row so she isn’t up as high) and while we are there we will go see The Circle of Life. We cannot skip anything Lion King related when Ariana is around! We saw this movie for the first time last year and other than a really long wait to get into the theatre (we must have arrived right after one started) we thought it was a cute movie and would be a good spot to get away from the heat.


You are so right! We likely wouldn’t be able to get past Circle of Life, but it is a great way to take a break. Hopefully we can time it so as not to have a huge wait before hand. Soarin’ will be a fabulous way to kick off our day – Ariana’s favourite Epcot ride. Now didn’t you mention recently that you have in fact talked Emma into riding the bottom row?! Yay for Emma! Oh and can’t miss an opportunity to say hello to Patrick

While we are in the area we need to ride Nemo since it’s Emma’s favourite ride in this park (and I really like it too!) We have never seen Turtle Talk with Crush so we will have to check it out and of course go take a look at the aquariums.

I like the Nemo ride too. I think our last trip was the first time it didn’t stop several times while we were riding it, and that was a much nicer ride lol. We’ve lucked out with Turtle Talk and all of my kids have had a chance to talk to Crush – lots of fun. We must also go visit Bruce!!

On our way out of the West we will hit the Character Spot, a great place to see all your favourite characters one after another. We will probably need to grab a snack before heading in to keep the kids occupied in line. We have never gone through here since we always seem to catch the characters elsewhere and the line always seems so long so this will be new for us.


Another one of Ariana’s favourite things to do at Epcot, she adores meeting the characters. Demetri loves to meet Pluto... he’ll walk on all fours to greet him and Pluto usually ends up doing the same!


My girls and I have not been on any rides in FW East. I think I might have rode Test Track when Tyler was younger but I can’t remember. I do have a picture of him in one of the cars but my brother may have rode with him. Emma has agreed to Tomorrowland Speedway so if she’s ok when she goes on that I’m just going to tell her that Test Track isn’t much different LMAO She may hate me by the end of this trip!


Don’t let her see the cars as they zoom by outside Test Track! We’ll have to sneak up on it and distract her while we shoot into the ride ! Now we’ve come to Demetri’s favourite Epcot ride. He loves the tests leading up to the speed lap and of course the breakneck speed we reach as we shoot outside. We’ll have to remember to make funny faces at the ride photo too!

Spaceship Earth is our next must do and I can’t wait to see what my future will be like!!! After that we will head over to the Contemporary Resort for Ariana’s Birthday dinner with Chef Mickey!!! Our reservation is for 6:15pm. I have done breakfast and Dinner here and I much prefer the Dinner. I hope they have the ribs cause they were really good!!! Of course the dessert bar was really yummy as well!!! And I always have to get a picture with my favourite pup.

I’m really looking forward to dinner here too. Always a great time with the Fab 5 and coming in on the monorail will be fun. My kids love to swirl their napkins and once Ariana even danced around the table!

I haven’t yet decided on which birthday cake to get... I’ll have to go thru those cake threads again! Something simple and small I think... will the restaurant ship any leftovers back to our room?

Even though Alex won’t be there, we’ll proudly carry on his tradition of having a jube-jube sundae for dessert!

After dinner we will head back to Epcot (good thing we all slept in ) I am thinking we will get back there just after 8pm which will give us enough time to go find a good spot for Illuminations and get some popcorn before it starts! I saw this for the 1st time on my last trip and loved it. My favourite part is when you see the holding hands in the globe.

I’m loving the casualness we’ll have for the rest of this evening. I really love lazy nights where you just do whatever strikes your fancy and coming back to Epcot after dinner for Illuminations sounds great!


After Illuminations Epcot has EMH till Midnight and since we all slept in today we will be ready to go (of course I am bringing a stroller for Emma but I may need to be pushed by this point LOL) We don’t have a lot of Must Do’s for the World Showcase so we can decide if we want to venture there after Illuminations or just save it for our next Epcot day. I’m sure we will head over to FW to ride a few rides during EMH.


I’m not convinced I’ll be ready to go but I know my kids will be. Some of the rides take on an extra element of fun after dark and I usually give the kids their choice of one or two last rides of the night. Undoubtedly, Soarin and Test Track will be must do’s again before the end of the night.


At this point it will either be midnight and they will be kicking us out or we will be tired and ready to go.


I’m betting we’ll be a tired little group, happily making our way back to Pop after a wonderful, fun filled day. I’d love a quick little night swim maybe, then off to dreamland with one last rendition of Happy Birthday! What a great day!

Thursday September 29th

This is my brother’s birthday so I will have to make sure to wish him a happy one as soon as I get up. Speaking of when I get up, guess what…. We can sleep in again today!!!! I am starting to see a pattern here and I think Tracy is rubbing off on me

When we are up we will head to Pop for breakfast (I am thinking we can even go there in our PJ’s!) for some Pop waffles and bacon. After breakfast we will head back to our room and get ready for our day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!!!!


Ooo, I’m digging breakfast in our jammies. Might pop in again to Starring Rolls, we’ll see if the mood strikes me when we arrive.


Since this is our second day here we will make the things we missed on our first day a priority (after TSM of course).

How fun is that list? Man, I love DHS. Can’t wait to see the Pixar Pals parade and I hope we get to see more Streetsmosphere too. The one thing I truly don’t want to miss doing this trip is the Animation Class. I hope we draw Mickey! Ah yes and we must find that Singing in the Rain umbrella!!!


We also have reservations for the Fantasmic Dinner package at Mama Melrose. I picked MM because it was only 1 TS credit and the menu looked pretty good. I have heard good and bad things about all the restaurants at this park so I figured I would try a new one (we went to Hollywood and Vine last trip).

Mama Melrose is not somewhere I’d have gone to with George so I’m glad to be trying it this trip. I’ve heard mixed reviews too but no matter what, it’s a new experience and will probably be great. I read an article from 2010 that said the Streetmosphere people were wandering the restaurant during dinner. That would be such fun! Has anyone heard of that happening lately?

I am excited to see F! again since we skipped it last trip. I have also heard about the wine and dessert platters you can now buy here and can’t wait to try one.


Me toooo! Must remember to leave room after dinner!

I think I am going to go with the Fantasmic Sweet Treats (with the wine option!!!)

This looks absolutely delectable and though I’ll skip the wine, we’ll each have to get one. I will be sampling everything!

We love the breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. We almost never have breakfast in the parks - almost seems like a waste of time - but this one is a priority for us! We always get the breakfast platter. Mmmmmmm... I hope you love it there too.

We tried Mama Melrose's for the first time in March. The atmosphere & service were great. The food was so-so. Definitely worth giving it a try at least once.
