So last night we found out that Eryka made the talent show at school

She has tried out the last 2 years but never made it in before so we are very excited, She will be singing Reflection from Mulan. I will see if I can tape it and post it

That's fantastic! Such a beautiful song; I do hope you post it for us to enjoy!

(See the little blue handprints in the bottom right of this picture? Our dining room used to be closed off and used as Ariana's therapy classroom when she was younger. Those are her little hands when she was finger painting one day. Even though we know we have to resurface this fireplace we'll hate losing the handprints. )

For decorations I just printed out pictures of the various characters in the story and then put more of Zeus' lightning bolts all around.

Aww! I don't think I could paint over them, either!

Another fabulously-themed movie night... everyone looks like they had such fun! Hercules is one of those gems I haven't seen in years...

So me and the girls just finished up another movie night... it took me a while to figure out this one

Tonight we watched

I haven't seen this one in a while so it was nice to see it again

For dinner I made the kids eat out of

Now these were brand new and cleaned before use

That's ok for dinner they had

Dog Food (beef stew) and Sausages (couldn't have hot DOGS )

for dessert I made Doggy Rice Krispie treats and PUPcakes

The girls had some visitors for the movie

The star made an appearance too!!!

I was running around all day so I didn't have time to get a craft ready and when I asked my son to print off some Bolt colouring pages he just looked at me like I have 5 heads

All in all we had a great night again

Thanks I think it is a great movie but I'm a hugh John Travolta fan!!!

I have to find out if the school will allow video, they are very strict on that stuff but since she is solo it should be ok

Wow! That is such a cute set up. I have yet to see Bolt. We actually met the character (and Rhino) in 2009, but we have yet to watch the movie. Though, now that I think about it, Claire might've watched it on Disney channel once.

Day 3
Sunday September 25th
Park: Animal Kingdom
Reservations: Tusker House
Hours: 9am -5pm

I am so excited about this day!!! This used to be my least favorite park but now I LOVE it!!! That said this will be the only day we spend at this park but we will make the most of it! A theme you will notice for this trip will be the ambitious lists Tracy and I come up with for each park and this one will be no exception.

I’ve grown to like AK more than I did before too. I’d still rank it fourth after the other parks, but the details throughout this park are pretty awesome. My biggest complaint over the years was always how hot it was but you just have to roll with it, right? A few spins on Kali River Rapid will definitely help!

I love walking into this park just for this:

Our day will start with a 9:15am reservation at Tusker House. The girls and I have not eaten here so it was definitely a must do for this trip! I can’t wait to see the characters in their safari clothes.

We did Tusker House in November and loved it. The variety is great and it was a lot of fun meeting the characters.

When we are finished stuffing our faces we will probably head to the safari first since it is right there. Last trip was my first time on the safari and I thought it was pretty cute.

My last two safari’s were in cooler weather so the animals were more active than the other times I’ve seen them. What are the odds we’ll catch the lion up and about??

After the Safari we will head to Camp Minnie-Mickey. Tracy has not spent time here to see the characters. I have but only in their Christmas fashions so it will be nice to see them in safari clothes here too. And you never know there might be some not so regular characters out to meet as well!

Each time we’ve been to Camp Minnie Mickey it was jam packed with people heading out of FOTLK so we’ve never braved the lines to see the characters. I’d love to finally meet them!

After we have hung out with some characters we will head over to everyone’s favorite show FOTLK
We skipped this last year and I have regretted it ever since

This is an absolute must do for us every visit.

Ariana’s very favorite movie in the entire world is the Lion King and this cannot be missed. Oh and I kinda like it too and have been known on occasion to have something in my eye while watching it.

Now I have always used Discovery Island as a portal to get to other places and never really taken the time to explore. This time I want to check out the Discovery Island Trails and get some really cool pictures nice and close of the Tree.

I FINALLY did this with the Spectrum Moms in January and got some absolutely wonderful shots of the tree. (Sneak peak here…. we haven’t gotten to this day yet in our TR.) It’s incredible and I can’t wait to show the kids.

Now everyone knows that Emma is a scaredy cat but I have convinced her to go see It’s Tough to be a Bug I know I’m mean but she will never get over her fears if she never tries. I have warned her that she will see what looks like real bugs but that they are fake, and she knows about the bee stings from the seat and that they are not real. I will let her sit forward or on my lap if they really BUG (haha) her. I think she will be fine, but is there anything else I should warn her about????

We did ITTBAB…. I think it was 2008, but I really don’t remember a whole lot about it in detail. Just that Hopper is kinda freaky. I know Demetri won’t remember it at all so it’ll be new for him too. I’m not a fan of bugs in general so I’m pretty sure I’ll be BUGGED too!!

We are kinda torn on Rafiki’s Planet Watch. I have never been over there so I think it might be neat. Tracy has rode the train but that’s it. And we both like the idea of seeing Jiminy cricket. We will have to decide that when we see what time we have left.

Game day decision!

Of course we will head to Asia. Eryka bugged me last trip to see flights of wonder but I was so darn cold I said no. This time I will let her see it.

I hope Ariana enjoys Flights of Wonder. She’s fine if birds are at a distance but will probably let out a few screams when they’re in flight. Hopefully they won’t be too close to her and it won’t be an issue. Demetri will be a bit nervous himself. He has a bit of an aversion to hawks so I may have to cuddle a bit with him for that part.

I am hoping this trip will be warmer than last trip and we can hit Kali River Rapids. We will have to pull a switch on this as I’m sure Emma will say no.

I’m totally going on Kali River Rapids – several times!! I love this ride and missed it the last two trips because of the cooler weather. We’ll be soaked – woo hoo!!

Last but not least

We will definitely have to switch on this one because this has all the things Emma hates…. Fast, drops and backwards. Eryka and I on the other hand LOVE this ride and I can’t wait to buy myself a little Yeti when I get done. Maybe if I bribe Emma with a Yeti she will go on Maybe this will work.

Yeti! Yeti! Yeti! Love this ride and I think behind Splash Mountain, Demetri would say it’s his favorite!

Bribery is a great idea! I hope she decides to take you up on that, it would be so fun for all of us to go together. Ariana loves this too!

We have decided that DinoLand is not really a priority this trip. If we have time and have nothing else we really wanna hit we will head there, if not we won’t.

I’m a little sad we won’t get to Nemo. Unless Demetri pushes that he wants to go on Dinosaur we’re going to steer clear of the area altogether. He loves to pour over the maps though so I may have to promise an extra Yeti ride instead!

When it is getting close to parade time we will have to stop and find a spot to watch. I have only seen it at Christmas so it will be nice to see the regular one.

At dinner time we are heading to Emma’s favorite place at AK to eat, Flame Tree BBQ! We ate here last trip and it was very yummy. Emma doesn’t normally like any food with spice but she loved the beans, which I found had a little spice. Mmmmmmmmmmm I can taste the ribs now

I’ve never been to Flame Tree so I’m excited to try it. The ribs sound absolutely delicious!

And if we run into any Characters along the way we will have to stop for some photo ops

And that is our day 3 plans!!!!

It is going to be different being there in Sept when it's hot, the last 2 years I went in December and the year before was in February so Hot is not something I really know

I am so excited that Tracy and the kids are coming with me, it will be nice to have an adult to hang out with!!!

You know what I had not heard about the surprise on ITTBAB!! Every TR I've read so far has just said they will not spoil the surprise so thanks!! In seriousness though I think I am glad I know what to expect as otherwise would have freaked out big time!!
