5 days too much?

With these passes that give 5 days for the price of 3, does anyone actually go to DL/DCA for 5 straight days? Is there enough to do or is it just really nice to not have to always be rushing around?

I think 5 days is fair if you have never been or haven't been since DD/DCA was added.

We are DLR veterans and feel like we are rushing with 3!

We are planning to go for 7 days in a row (we check in on Friday!). What's really bad is that we have been to DL/DCA countless times -we just can't get enough of it!
We do plan to make a few field trips during the afternoons when the parks get crowded. We are going to see Les Miserables on Sat afternoon. Maybe Sunday afternoon might be a nice day to visit The Getty. And, the Nixon Library is a short drive from DL.
I thought it would be fun to stay in one place for 7 days and relax a little bit, too. We love the Grand Californian--it is a really beautiful hotel. I plan to use FP as much as possible and relax and not worry about the crowds. If I feel a park is too crowded, I'll go to the other one. If both parks are too crowded, I'll go to hotel and go shopping or take a nap or take a field trip (there's tons of things to see in LA). Or, I could just sit in the lobby in front of that enormous fireplace and people watch. Maybe I'll just ride the monorail or the train all afternoon (my favorite part of the train ride is when you go through the Grand Canyon). I figure if I am there all week-- I can afford to walk slow and take time to enjoy the flowers and the ambiance!

We easily fill in the time, and never leave the property. It is nice not to rush through meals......or worry about spending time at the pool each day :)

Having 5 days will give you plenty of time so you won't have to rush. It will give you time to be able to go in the morning, then go back to the hotel for a swim or nap and then go back in the evening, and not feel like you are wasting precious park time.

This will be out first time that we will be going with 5 days available. We are really only doing 4 full days but having that fifth day will allow us the opportunity to go to the parks on the day we arrive for a few hours without feeling like we are wasting a day off our pass.

Just got back from six days (five Disney, one Universal) and still didn't do everything:D It was so nice to not have to rush. We had plenty of time to go to the parks when we wanted and then head back to the hotel when we got tired. We could rest for a couple of hours, maybe grab a bite to eat, then head back to the parks again. We also used the downtime from the parks to spend time watching the entertainers in DTD or checking out the other hotels. I think anything less than four days might be rushing it.

I think you can do a thorough visit to Disneyland/DCA/DD in three days if you are efficient. Four to five days gives you a more leisurely pace and time to spend at the resort hotels.

Our rule is DL/DD during the week and DCA on the weekends. DCA does not draw like DL and DL is really busy on weekends.

I agree with dcfromva about the GC, how to spend the balance of a week, the ease to divert and avoid crowds and the more relaxed pace that the additional days afford.
