Hey ladies and gentlemen! Just got back from a quick 4 night-5 day trip with our 2yo. We went deluxe and sorry to say I don't have pics, mainly because I was dealing with a 2yo the entire meal! :rotfl: Sorry will just give quick reviews. Oh and our 2yo LITERALLY had mac and cheese for every single meal, so I am not mentioning any of her meals.

Oh, and we stayed at BLT and did MK park only, so all of our meals are either in MK or easily accessible by monorail (with the exception of Raglan Rd. in DD).

RAGLAN RD. DINNER - One of our favorites, and tonight did not disappoint. I had the "Scallop Forest" app. and DH had the "Dalkey Duo." Both amazing. "It's Not Bleeding Chowder" was my entree. Heavenly! My DH is allergic to shellfish so I never cook it at home...I enjoyed it thoroughly in this dish! Much lighter than a normal chowder (hence the name I guess, :)) DH had the "Schnitzel Saavy" which is a traditional pork schnitzel, not exactly "ham" like the menu says. He said it was great but did not love the smoked bacon baked beans it came with, said next time he would sub something else. For dessert I had the always amazing "Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding" which is always out of this world good, and DH tried "Dundon's Delight" which is a raspberry pavlova thing-y. He honestly did not care for the taste or texture of this one and would not choose it again. TIP: The kid's mac and cheese is quite delicious here, way better than the standard WDW version. If you are are a mac and cheese lover you might try ordering this. The serving size was quite substantial.

CRYSTAL PALACE LUNCH - This is a great choice when you need an air-conditioned break in the park. And as far as buffets go, the food is quite delicious! There was honestly nothing I tried that I didn't like. Carving station was especially delicious this time. Character interaction is great too!

BOG DINNER - This restaurant remains one of our favorites, not leastly because they serve 2 of my favorite beers, "1664 Blanc" and "Hoegaarden." For app. I got the "Mussels Provencal." Amazing! I love mussels and these were right up there with the best. Could have done without the large croutons (I hate mushy croutons) but otherwise delish. DH had the "Garden Salad." Came tossed with barely any champagne vinaigrette so it was quite dry. They brought him some more dressing and then he said it was perfect. For entree I had "Sauteed Shrimp & Scallops" in puff pastry. Delicious! Definitely a great way to get my shellfish fix. :) DH had his usual "Grilled Strip Steak" which was overcooked but amazingly tasty!! He is also allergic to mushrooms so they left off the truffle mayo, but still had plenty of the garlic-herb butter melted in to make it extra tasty! For dessert we had the Triple Chocolate Cupcake and the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. DH loved the chocolate, and I thought the Strawberry was heavenly. Not dry at all, in fact had a light creamy filling that was fabulous!

CRYSTAL PALACE BREAKFAST - The food is good and it's a GREAT way to get into the park before opening. :bitelip: I could eat my weight in Puffed French Toast. The custom omelet station is a nice touch.

OHANA DINNER - Our favorite restaurant on property, still delish. I didn't love the lettuce wraps (too spicy) but luckily you can request the salad no problem. Potstickers, wings, noodles ,etc. were just as tasty as ever. The steak was grilled and seasoned to perfection! Juicy and medium rare. The shrimp was great too. The only miss was the pork - too dry. But it was seasoned nicely and the dipping sauce helped a lot. Bananas Foster Bread Pudding remains the best dessert on property hands down!

CHEF MICKEY BREAKFAST - Always our least favorite restaurant foodwise and this time was no different. This is the first time we have done CP breakfast and CM breakfast 2 days in a row, and WOW were the differences glaring!!! No custom omelet station, no carving station, and overall the food was just not that great. Thank goodness for Mickey Waffles and cereal! This happens to be our kids' favorite restaurant which is why we eat here every trip, and the character interaction is wonderful. 2yo is obsessed with Minnie which is why we booked it. The characters really are the saving grace here because I have no doubt they are the sole reason this place is always in such high demand.

LTT LUNCH - For app. I got the "Declaration Salad", which was DROWNED in way too much dressing! It was even a bit wilted and brown and I am wonderfing if it was leftovers from dinner the night before. Not impressed this time and usually it's so good. DH got the "Tavern Fried Cheese" which are fine, but really no different than the frozen cheese sticks you can buy at the store. We miss the days of the little cheese balls! For entree I got the "Pilgrim's Feast" which was good and hearty but the meat was quite a bit salty. DH got the "Angus Chuck Cheeseburger" which he said was really good and amazingly, cooked correctly AND the bacon was crispy just as he requested! For dessert DH got "Martha Washington's Cake" which is basically chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. He said it was fine but nothing to write a sonnet about. :) And now for my dessert, "Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake." People, I have written posts about my ADORATION of this dessert. But something has changed and it's NOT a good change! Well first they went from the big triangular chunk of cake to the that round disc, but now it's even worse. The cake is about as thick as a piece of cardboard...and, GASP, NO MORE CARAMEL SAUCE! :faint: I am really hoping this was just an oversight on my server's part (he seemed a little overwhelmed) and not a formal change in the dish, but it was just not that great. A ton of vanilla ice cream covered in a ton of shaved toffee, and a thin layer of cake underneath. This one makes me sad as anything because the whole reason we eat lunch at LTT is for that dessert! We may have to cross this one off our list if this is a permanent change.

1900 PARK FARE DINNER - This was booked purely so my 2yo could meet Cinderella. Other than the Strawberry Soup, nothing here was all that amazing, to be honest. It was all fine and certainly edible, but not GREAT like the buffet food at Boma (my all-time fave) or even like the surprisingly good lunch we had at Crystal Palace. The only thing that really stood out to me here as being great was the beef carving station. The desserts here are pretty lackluster as well. Definitely still prefer breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (food is good and characters are the best of any buffet).

OHANA BREAKFAST - Least favorite of all character interactions. Seemed very rushed, and there are only 4. The food is tasty, especially the breakfast potatoes and big fat sausages! We had not done this one in several years so I am glad we tried it again. Biggest disappointment - no more leis. That was a big bummer. :worried:

RAGLAN RD. BRUNCH - This was a walk up because we were hanging out in DD before having to meet our DME bus later that afternoon. For app. I got the soup of the day which was Colcannon (potatoes, cabbage and bacon pureed) and it was outstanding. DH got the "Heaven on Earth" which to me tasted just like that bourbon chicken on a stick you get at chinese places. Kind of greasy but good. :rolleyes1
For entree I got the "Steak Sanger" with Garlic Roasted Potatoes for my side. This was YUMMY!!! Steak was a bit fatty but tasted good. Potatoes were delish! DH got the Eggs Benedict which he said were OUTSTANDING with 2 thumbs up. I think he licked the plate clean. For dessert he went with the "Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding" this time, while I opted for "Trifle Sinful" which was very delicious, on the lighter side, and not too sweet. A great option if you don't feel up to tackling the famous bread pudding!

Other quick notes - we ate breakfast and lunch at Contempo Cafe. Just not good, period. Opt for the Mickey Waffle at breakfast and you will be safe. ::yes:: We have only ever stayed at Polynesian and opted for BLT this time due to Poly construction and accessibility to MK for our 2yo. Let me tell you, Captain Cook's has spoiled me because I think the food there is a thousand times better than that at Contempo Cafe. JMHO!

Thanks for the report! We have similar opinions about several meals and we are staying at BLT for the first time...noting to avoid Contempo Cafe!

Glad to hear that Raglan Road allows individuals to order the 2-person apps on DxDDP, or, at least, I hope we get your server! :). It is just me and my 7-year-old and none of the individual appetizers sound that great to me.

Thanks for the great reviews! I am praying that the LTT fiasco ( ;) ) is just a blip, too!
