Hi,

My 18yo Teen and I will be at WDW for a week in mid-Nov (the week before the week of Thanksgiving). We're open to doing a party night, are planning a rest day, but I'm not sure which parks to hit on what days. We'll be staying at OKW.

This is the outline of our stay - what would you do? We want to go to all parks, not averse to getting park hopper tickets, but with the distance between parks, not sure we'll actually park hop.

Keen to get some ideas. I'd say overall, my Teen is wanting to get onto rides, probably not so much meeting characters or going to shows.

ParkPark events
Sun 17/11Arrival day - likely afternoonMK - MVMCP
Mon 18/11HS - JN 7:30pm on
Tues 19/11MK - MVMCP
Weds 20/11
Thurs 21/11MK - MVMCP
Fri 22/11MK - MVMCP

Staying at OKW will give you extended evening hours, which is a nice bonus and helps you plan.

Because of the parties, they will likely be unavailable at MK and they also move around during the fall, so you have to wait to find out what is available.

When the schedule comes out, I would pick the park or parks with the extended hours. There could be potentially only one park day left for you to pick and make it easy to complete your schedule.

I would NOT go the week of Thanksgivng if you can avoid it.

Go to MK on a MVMCP day. Yes, you leave early but then the crowds are much lower during the day. I don’t think the same is true for HS though. If you want to see Fantasmic then don’t go to HS on a day when they have JN.

We always end our trips with an AK day because it’s such a chill park, and by then we’re a little tired.

We went to WDW the week AFTER Thanksgiving last year. Because we went to MK on a MVMCP day we didn’t get to see the regular fireworks. So we went to California Grill another night to watch the regular MK fireworks from there and it was such a great experience.

So all the being said I would probably explore DS your first night then do EP - MK - HS - AK or MVMCP - AK or MVMCP.

Have you ever been to Disney? Makes a difference on what you would probably like to do. You mention wanting to go to all 4 parks, but your plan doesn't show Epcot or AK. I think 4 days of MK is too much, but again depends on your interests and what you might have done in the past.

We are going the week before that - so not the week of Thanksgiving, the week before that, 18-22 Nov and Thanksgiving is on 28 November I think this year?

Thanks for the park sequence advice!! :)

Ah, good question! I don't have a plan for which parks on which days yet, I've just noted down which nights have the special parties.

We went to WDW together with my BFF and husband in 2015, when my Teen was almost 9. We did a park a day, four days in a row, with MNSSHP the first night we got there.
I'm still thinking a park a day, and a rest day, if possible.

We've also been to DL at least 2-3 times, most recently for a day at each park in 2022.
