5 Days, 4 Parks, 3 DIS-meets, 2 ADR’s, and 1 Solo DISer! Done! Finished! Completed!!

I thought I had posted here already, but I guess not! :confused3

I am still  over the "I hope someone steals you" comment. Unreal!! And very sad.

Love that you sang out loud during Small World!!!! What a wonderful solo moment!

I really enjoyed all your Barnstormer pics. We just breezed through the queue, so I didn't notice hardly any of those things. Isn't that ride a bit of a wicked kiddy coaster?! I was really surprised!

And good for you for standing your ground at the parade! :thumbsup2

Hi Heidi! Merry Christmas! :santa:

I am finally stealing some time to catch up on some DISing. Thanks for sharing the pictures of the Boo To You parade! Every time I see pictures it brings back memories from our 2007 trip. :thumbsup2 (And then I can't get the song out of my head for a while.;))

I feel like a huge heel for never posting any replies to your comments....seems everytime I go to do it one of the kids stops the process. I'm going to pick out a few to try to get caught up.

I started to work on the photos for Day 3...then I need to find my notes (cleaned up for Christmas and now can't remember where I put them) then I can share more. It would be so much easier if you could all just come over my house so I could tell you about the trip! :lmao:

I think that Jelly Jar light is the cutest I have ever seen. Think they'll be willing to sell it to me during the Toon Town remodel? :worship: :rotfl2:

Make sure you bring some bubble wrap with you in January so you can get it home in one piece!

I am hoping for my DD's first trip that Toon Town is not completely gone yet when we go in September. I have read that they will not close things off until necessary but who knows? I will be watching the boards for more information as it is released.

Should be interesting to see how they do the construction....like which end will the start with. But I wouldn't be surprised if ToonTown is shut down completely to save on labor and there isn't any restaurants over there.

Love the Barnstormer pics! I meant to ride it for the first time this October, but never got around to it, and who knows, by the next time I'm there it might be too late! :guilty: Oh, well.

I think the rollercoaster itself is staying....just getting re-themed. My guess would be for a Casey's Jr. Train theme.

Thank you so much for posting, hon! I am selfishly glad I was part of this update, because really you've brought out some of my favorite memories from my trip. I loved meeting you, and sharing Hallowishes with you. It was truly a special moment.

And I'd totally forgotten about what my DH did on that ride. That'll be a tale to tell. :lmao:

It was a good night wasn't it!?! I just love the fact that I picked you out of that sea of people. And even later that night we kept running into each other.

Love your photos of Hallowishes. It's too bad that woman was so rude. Why is it people feel the need to block others and think nothing of it? Ughhh so irritating!

I love the parade pictures! We were at the MVMCP this past weekend, and had a very similar thing happen with a rude lady at the parade. :sad2:

We all know it happens at every parade so I was prepared for it. "Clueless in Orlando"

Well, so far this TR is practically perfect in every way!!

.

Hey Stranger!!!!!! Jordan and I have been wondering when you'd be right to the DIS. If you get a chance to take a solo trip....DO IT!!!

I love your stories about the TK Clan and the Meet. I'm so jealous you got to "do" Pirates with everyone. :goodvibes
You'll really laugh when TK writes about it!

Mashed potatoes?

Food and Wine booth. They were the best "mashed potatoes" ever!

did they toss candy from those huge candy bags or was that all show...

DH and I are now really thinking of going in the fall of 2011 for our 15 anni trip...alone, food and wine (even though I'm not much of a drinker) and halloween....
They put candy in the kids trick or treat bags.

I think Fall is a great time for you and Matt to go. I don't drink wine but I did enjoy a few frozen slushie drinks!

Okay, what exactly was said about mashed potatoes???
Christine and I were trading F&W reviews.

Great update Heidi!!!!!! Love your pictures of the parade!!!!! Although I can't believe that lady said that to you....holy moly!!!!!!
The funny part was that she thought she was doing me a favor!

Good for you sticking up for yourself and those people around you. If I had heard you, I would've applauded or bowed down to you or both.
Thanks! No one else seemed to notice that I saved their view :confused3

here here...what Jordan said about sticking up for yourself and others...are some people clueless or is it just plain rudeness...:confused3...
I just couldn't for the life of me understand how waiting 5 minutes was a long time for her. And I had looked behind me before I stood there and she was no where to be seen. I bet she was a real gem for the fireworks :rolleyes1

Oh blisters. I hate blisters, they are EVIL. I'm glad they were not bad. I did buy some stuff to wrap my feet if it is needed in January. Glad to hear it worked for you! :thumbsup2

Good for you for sticking up for yourself! :yay:

I really hope you don't get those blisters again in Janurary. I was really surprised at how many I got (I usually only get them on my pinkie toes) but I was really humid and my feet were sweaty most days.

I just love the Halloween parade. The grave diggers are my favorite part. (Other than the song that gets stuck in my head for days!).

I loved the grave diggers and the ghoul band the most.

I was too! It wasn't as mild as I thought it would be.

I loved that song! (too bad I can't remember it for the life of me now)

Day 3 Friday October 2, 2009

A quick recap:
Day 1: I arrived in the am and went to Epcot.
Day 2: I went shopping all morning at DTD and then went to the MNSSHP.

Today I was head to AK for rope drop.

Breakfast of champions! A schoolbread that I had picked up the first night. Still tasty (I put had it in a Ziploc baggie)

Picture that was in my room.

Since I didn’t go to the food court for breakfast I was at AK really early and got to see the opening show on Discovery Island.

Once the rope dropped I was on my way to my FIRST ride on Expedition Everest. I grabbed a FastPass for later and then got in the regular que….which was basically walk-on until the boarding area.
OMG!!!! I’m in love with that ride. It’s so much more than I was expecting! I got right back in line for another ride (pretty much walk-on again).

After my 2 rides I needed a little something from the dump shop with the Yeti on it. I chose a little stuffed Yeti that hangs on the side of my fridge. ($6.95) Time check 9:27am (and the park opened at 9am!!!! I love solo touring!)

I was now headed to Africa via Asia. What a lovely walk that morning.

OOH Animal Kingdom...what a great park!! I love their rope drop and I love EE!! I'm glad you were able to ride it so many times! I believe Paula and I were in the park the same day you were and later that evening we would ride EE in the dark so many times LOL!!! Great fun!!

Can't wait for more Heidi!

Love your AK photos. It looks so empty and peaceful.

Are you planning another solo trip? Or will your next one be a family trip?

You know I am loving your Animal Kingdom photos! Everything looks so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful in the early morning light!!! :lovestruc

Wonderful pictures Heidi...

the opening show looks so cool...we hardly did anything at AK last March, so it is big on our list of must do's...rope drop looks like a great thing to see.

Missed you over on the PTR side lately! DId the holidays keep you busy??

I love your AK pictures. The theming is so immersive there. It really is a park to be taken slowly and savored.

Solo traveling, gotta love it.

EE so good and yet, still so Disney.

The theming at AK can not be beat.

Agree with Jordan...AK theming is stunning...

It will be here before you know it! DH was trying to lay some guilt down on me that he still hasn't been on EE because he was waitng for me to be able to ride. I guess he forgot that he gets motion sickness and I have to drag him on the mountains!

I think that was the first time I had seen that exact opening show because usually the "rope drop" is right at the gate when we go.

Love your AK photos. It looks so empty and peaceful.

That crowd of people waiting for rope drop didn't feel so empty but as soon as it dropped it was great.

At best I'm hoping for a spring 2012 trip with the family (right before Danica turns 3). We still have a lot of work to do on the house addition.

What a lovely morning! And EE twice before 9:30. How fabulous!!!
I could have kept going but I wanted to see the animals.

You know I am loving your Animal Kingdom photos! Everything looks so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful in the early morning light!!! :lovestruc

I was having a hard time with that light actually. I think I should have been using the beach setting on my camera because it was so bright out.

Wonderful pictures Heidi...

Please get there at rope drop in November.....just saying :rolleyes1 LOL

Big surprise....Liam woke Danica up from her nap and I gotta go.......to be continued..................
