Wednesday, April 30

Followed our typical morning routine - breakfast in the room from the Food & Fun center - and hopped on the monorail for the Magic Kingdom.

We got there about 9:10, so we went to the Castle for Cinderella's Surprise at 9:30. Very good! My daughter then wanted to see Ariel, so we waited in line at her Grotto for an hour! It was our last day in the parks, so we had to do it. Went on Snow White's adventure, and then got a fast pass for Peter Pan. Ate at Pecos Bill's in Frontierland and went back for Peter Pan. Saw Belle's Fairytale storytime - great pictures, and then checked out the Castle. We caught Mickey and Minnie just setting up for pictures, so we got a great one!

Went on the Libery Belle - relaxing, and then did some shopping. We watched the parade in Liberty Square - sat in front of the Hall of Presidents - and it was great. It looked like rain, so we headed back to the Contemporary. It started downpouring when we got there.

We had 6:30 reservations at the Crystal Palace, but the weather scared us off. When there was a break in the rain, we did a quick swim, got cleaned up, and went to Chef Mickey's again - wonderful. Spent a lot of time in the Concourse, and then called it a day. My 5 year old was pretty wiped. We leave tomorrow.

Hi there...

Whats up with the long waits for Ariel's grotto?

Last time we were at MK... and the year before.. there were times posted in the neigbourhood of 75 minutes.

We never did make it in there... can I ask what goes on in there?

LOL

It's just a picture taking opportunity. Ariel is sitting in and my daughter went up and sat next to her. They talked for a while, Ariel signed her autograph book (very nicely) and a CM took their picture - which we could purchase under the train station I think.

Just an elaorate Character greeting - but my daughter loved it!

Could you tell me what Cinderella's surprise and Belle's fairytale storytime is? We have only been to disney once last year right after 9/11 my daughter 3 didnt see many of the princesses. I havent been able to get ressie to crt or princess breakfast. So your mention of these two events made me curious. Did you actually see cinderella and belle? Were you able to take a picture with them? I really want to have her see them this time we are going in 2 wks. Thanks for your help

Cinderella's Surprise Celebration is right in front of the castle and is a great show that has a ton of characters. After the show some of the characters came out of to sign autographs - didn't see Cinderella though (which disappointed my daughter!).

Belle's storytime is on the east side of the castle. They do a little show, and then Belle comes out for autographs and pictures. Very nice.

I'll also recommend Ariel's Grotto for pictures abd autographs - but get there first thing. Every day we were there, the sign posted a wait time of 30-40 minute by 10:00 - one hour after the park opened. We finally sucked it up the last day - it said a 30 minute wait but took an hour!

We got Snow White at the border between Fantasyland and Liberty Square - not much of a wait.

Hope that helps!
