are most people staying in the downtown area before the cruise?? we arrive the day before......i'm wondering if we should stay in richmond.....1/2 the price!

We are coming in on the 29th and booked the Holiday Inn Express Vancouver. It was $130 per night; free parking, free shuttle to cruise port, free wi-fi, and free hot breakfast

We are coming in on Monday the 30th and touring the area. We are actually staying in Burnaby at the Howard Johnson's, not too far from downtown and we booked our room at $101. I felt it was a good price.

I almost booked that hotel also! I ended up going with Holiday Inn Express since it was only slighly more $$ and I was familiar with them since I have stayed in other Holiday Inn Expresses....

I almost booked that hotel also! I ended up going with Holiday Inn Express since it was only slighly more $$ and I was familiar with them since I have stayed in other Holiday Inn Expresses....

I could not find a good cruise/ship shuttle/parking package! I called them and they still have rooms. I booked mine at $155 but still a lot better than driving to and parking at the port. Thanks for the tip! Now to ask hubby....I know he was loving the idea that there was a pub downstairs.

Just changed hotel plans: from YWCA Hotel (where all 5 were in one room) to the Landis Hotel & Suites (2 bedroom apt with king, 2 twins and sofa sleeper). About twice the price, but not too bad (app $266 CAD with tax per night). On Hornsby Street. This should make the girls happier.

I always enjoy a little more room. Sounds like everyone will be very comfy.
