5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

Good Morning, Everyone!

And I got everyone's name added to the roster.

Sadly, the 4boons need to come off the roster.

When we booked this cruise, we did it as a fallback for the point in time when we concluded that the June 12-24, 2010 we'd also booked just wasn't do-able. Meantime, my well-traveled father convinced me that if we didn't do the Baltic next summer with DD16, we probably wouldn't do it at all and around the same time, my company stock ticked up, so I closed my eyes, pushed the button and sold a big chunk of stock to pay for the Baltic. After toying with doing both, which was really wishful thinking, we cancelled our ressie on the May 30 today.

You probably don't remember me posting much(I lurk a lot!) but I almost fell off my seat when I saw that you booked this cruise. My DH and I were supposed to sail on the 5-30-09 Magic sailing but my dear father-in-law passed away the Tuesday before. We thought it poetic to rebook exactly a year to the day of his funeral. I never had the heart to check in and see how the cruise went - could you fill me in now?

Good Morning Cruisers!!!

Bill, how can you say no to the Baltic?? I can't blame you in your decision making!! Enjoy that once in a lifetime family vacation!! It was a joy to meet you and Laura!!

Disney might be pricing themselves out of us taking a cruise on them to Alaska. Rumor is that DCL is asking for a $600 PER PERSON deposit. I am sorry. If I give DCL $2400 now, what money will I have to take a vacation this year? That's a lot of cash to hold a vacation. Although, at this point, it's just rumor. We'll have to wait and see what the folks are saying on Monday after they start booking. We have priced out about 4 other cruise lines and they are anywhere from $5000-$6200 for a week. Some are round trip, some are one way. Some include Glacier Bay and some do not. It's almost overwhelming!!! I'll keep you all posted on what we decide to do!

I do remember your screenname. Of course I will fill you in, I will send you a PM about the 5/30/09 cruise so I don't take over this thread! I am also trying to convince the Chase family (brucechase), also from the 5/30/09 cruise, to book this one.

We already have reservations at the Radisson pre-cruise. Any info on that hotel from the last time...shuttle service, etc.

We will probably staying at the Hyatt and taking DCL transportation. I have a feeling we might be getting in to Orlando late the night before. A friend from the last cruise stayed at the Radisson and didn't have very good service when it came to using the shuttle. Him and his family waited a very long time to be picked up.

Same boat! We are drving from Texas, and will be driving this day from somewhere in the FL panhandle. I am hoping to be checked in by 6ish.

I am glad to see that so many are still interested in our cruise !!

It seems the double dip is the key feature to this cruise !!

Holy Cats! Another dance teacher! It's usually the best job ever, but right now I h.a.t.e. teen agers and all their angst. "I can't come to class tonight, it's my birthday. I have the sniffles. I have a hangnail. My boyfriend hurt my feelings." Give me a break.

I have a competition company that travels...but not much compared to others! We go to Dance Olympus/Dance America in the summer (some of us), we go to a couple of regional competitions: Talent On Parade and Dance Showcase USA (all of us). We (some of us) sometimes do Rainbow Connection, but lately they have gone a little downhill. I just attended Weissman's costume showcase. They had Rhee Gold in to speak. He is quite a speaker...I think he is from your neck of the woods.

How about you? Any conventions, do you compete? Do you think competitions are evil? How do you feel about two piece costumes? Do you do hip hop? Will you come teach it for me? Do you do pointe? Will you come teach THAT for me? When you went on the cruise were you looking for your dancers because you don't take trips that aren't dance trips?
