This weather is crazy! I enjoyed our beautiful sunshine & warm temps today though. :sunny:

Our day has been crazy too. We were on the go ALL day. Emily had gymnastics this a.m. I got free tix to Pooh's Heffalump movie through Disney Visa. Bad thing was that it was at a theater an hour away in Kennesaw. We decided to take advantage of the free movie but then wasted 2 hours in the car! Too much traffic trying to get over there that we would have been 15 min. late for the movie so we decided to head back to Alpharetta. What a nightmare traffic is in ATL metro ... even on a weekend! Now I know why we stay in our own little world here in Alpharetta - we have everything we need (mall, every restaurant imaginable, etc.) & NO reason to venture out. If we stay here we don't encounter traffic - especially not on weekends. Needless to say, DH was NOT a happy camper! Luckily girls were tired so that napped through the whole ordeal.

Everyone say a little prayer for me. Last week I went to the dr. for my scoliosis (wore a brace as a teenager, hated it, quit, haven't been to a dr. about it since & now regret it). Anyway, seems that surgery is in my near future. Dr. said that it's not necessary for me to do it "tomorrow" but the "younger" I am, the better. Besides, I want to be fully recovered by cruise time. Just a lot to deal with having 2 little ones at home and no support system living near us.

Enough blah, blah, blahing ... hope everyone has a good night!

Angie

I didnt think you were blah blahing at all. I enjoyed reading your post! I am sorry you all went thru all that for nothing! If I understand it correctly, you all did not make the movie? That sucks, huh? I know what you mean about no family support. My family lives in CO, and my DH parents stay busy ALL the time. His father is a Baptist pastor, so they are often doing things for their church.DH and I haven't had any alone time since our cruise this past Sept. It stinks.....I am sorry that you may need to get surgery, but I agree with your reasoning for wanting to go ahead and get it done ASAP!

We are going on the August Repo cruise, so we still have a little over 6 months to go. We are getting excited. And yes, it will be the three us us again. The 82 days must be for our 05/05/05 cruise. I have my clock things shut off at home.

We have two days at WDW before going on that cruise. The August Cruise has lots of things planned too (it will be the 3 of us then, also). This has been a good year for us. Thank goodness.

So if you need anything from the cruise line, I will be glad to pick it up for you. Just let me know.
Patty

Aw man, if you only knew how badly I wanted to go on the Aug repo cruise!

Hope you aren't saving that job for me. We don't even mow our own yard!!!

I have a really nice self-propelled Honda lawn mower. It get's used every week. I gave it to the neighbors several years ago.

Sharon mows our lawn. She writes the check every month.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Sunday!

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Sunday ALL!!

Checking in on the APB issued by Amanda (Hi Amanda!!). Have had a very busy last two weeks between work, school, my daughter's swim meets and practices, my son's after school band practices, etc, etc. Yesterday was a killer. They moved my 10 yo daughter's swim practices up to 7 a.m. instead of 8. They moved her up with all of the older swimmers. A little intimatidating for her, she is all of about 65 pounds. We are finally winding down on our "short course" season, with only the championship meet left in March. Then we get a 3 week "vacation" :cool1: before we start practicing at a new pool for the "long course" season, which will run all the way through summer:cool2: Summer will be a killer, because we have meets every other weekend and we get to go to places like Lubbock, Albuquerque, and Tucson.

I have also been busy working on our arrangements for our December trip. We are dvc owners at BWV & BCV, but because we are going to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary, we really wanted to stay at OKW in a grand villa. Made arrangements to trade points with a very nice member at OKW and he got my grand villa for me and I got him resv. at BWV. I have all of the airline tickets booked. My brother transferred his FF miles to get everyone free tickets. and I also have my car reserved.

Oh well, I must go and check other threads for a while. You guys are doing great. I didn't even make it back through all of the posts that I have missed the last few weeks.

Here is a question to think about this Sunday.

If we miss the ship's departure the first day at CC, does that mean we get the spend the rest of the week at CC waiting for the ship to return? :scratchin

Hi Pam! Be sure and let us know when you are in Albuquerque. If you have a lunch or dinner to spare, we can have a mini-meet!:cool1:

When we got back to Alpharetta we drove by the movie theater. The movie was starting in 30 min. so we killed a little time then went see it. The girls loved it. Cute movie for the little ones. :)

The joke here is that "Mom mows the lawn" because I write the check to the lawn service each month. Our lawn mower we brought from Michigan has found a good home down the street at a neighbors who do mow their own lawn. :cool1:

Nice to know someone else thinks about mowing the same way I do...Joke in my family is that I get my once-a-year lawn mowing in when I return "home" to visit my parents. I'm 37 and Dad still starts the mower and fills up the gas for me like he did when I was a kid.

Now, with dh working on his MBA, I've stopped writing the checks and started pushing the mower, for the 1st time in 15 years of marriage. I'm threatening to turn the backyard into a basketball court!

That's how we do it here.....although it's never "every month." It's more like "whenever they get around to sending it." But that works for me, he's still the best deal in town!!

Ours has been in the shed for at least two years, untouched. I know the battery has been dead for at least a year. In fact, a family of mice are living in the engine right now. :) Glad we could provide safe shelter for small rodents! :flower:
