Amanda... are you having fun chatting with yourself today???

Been at Day 1 of the US Open Cheer & Dance Championship all day... 2nd competition in 2 weeks... ugh. I hate driving back and forth to Orlando when its not to visit the parks... oh well, I love DD...

I hope your daughter has a good day of competition! Let us know how she does. Maybe I'll get a top post if Amanda's not paying attention. Off to watch more college basketball. Go Duke! :cheer2:

WOW, no action on over 5 hours? Now I am starting to feel what it is like for a man...:rotfl:

ps I have a bit of a filthy mouth, sometimes I think I could make a sailor blush....I hope no one offends to easily?? If so, please let me know, and I will keep it to myself......I can be very very bad:teeth:

PSS....I have been meaning to ask why everyone is sooooo quiet lately....We got off slowly, than when the 12/18 cruisers joined us, we were jumping.....now, not so much jumping anymore........Am I too late in asking if anyone offends easily?? Have I already offended some?

Yes, I am serious. I/we hate yard work. Would pave it all if I could.

I'm trying to catch up on this thread (backwards, at that) and just HAD to comment on this. We, too, HATE yardwork!! We have a good friend who works at the prison teaching juveniles landscaping and horticulture and he has a landscape business on the side. His rates are SOOO cheap it wouldn't pay us to run our own mower (sometimes every 4-5 days in the spring)

Right now the most action our mower is seeing is the family of mice that have taken up residence under the hood!

btw, I went to Hawaii in high school and someone actually DID pave their entire yard. Then they painted most of it green, leaving the driveway and the walk to the house asphalt black!! :rotfl2:

We'd go through spells like this on the 12/18 thread...... Quiet... then long bursts of energy.... and then non-stop building up to the cruise.....

I sincerely doubt you could easily offend me....

Okey dokey...caught up...finally!

We're back from skiing! Got in yesterday around 6:30, threw a frozen pizza in the oven while we quickly unpacked and as soon as I scarfed down a couple of pieces of pizza I took KT off to her ballet class (which ended up lasting close to 2 hours!)

This morning it was off to pick up the Beast--then give her the much needed post-kennel bath--then clean up all the hair in my bathroom (enough to make another puppy)

Helped KT do her scrapbook page today for our ski trip (we just get back yesterday and her page is done today!!) It turned out wonderful!!

Did some laundry, entertained the dog, vegged in front of the TV...and FINALLY caught up on the thread!

I promise I'll stick around for a few weeks to chat before I run off again (this time to wonderfully warm FL! --better warm it up for me before I get there!!!) Although, LOTS to do before I can leave town again.....

Hey, Virgil. Thanks for the help picking out Mike's birthday present. He LOVES them!!!

Now, please don't tell me about any more electronic gadgets for awhile, ok??? ;)

Hi!

I had a productive day....we did 3 therapy sessions...she's doing great, just needs to not be so nervous about hurting herself....she has titanium parts, they aren't going anywhere!

Then I did laundry, went to the grocery store, came home and washed and ironed the bedroom curtains, put new blinds in my Dad's bedroom, showed Mom how to work the portable printer I got her to go with the digital camera for Christmas, replaced a bunch of old old pics on her mantle and put the old ones in an album.
Too tired to do more scrapbooking, but from the looks of the weather forecast, I should have plenty of indoor days coming up! I love how it's coming along.

Well, stay warm.....I know I will be dreaming of the Bahamas.....

Stacey

Don't worry, Amanda, it's just a lull. It will pick up again. :goodvibes

Karen, I'll look for the scrapbooking stuff and see what's there. The shipping might be the most expensive part! And the tough thing will be getting DD to admit that she will never use any of it.

Kevin hasn't bragged about his bridge yet. It took second in the regional Science Olympiad. DD also took a second, without Dad's help, in one of the "on the spot" competitions. I think it was called Disease Detectives. She was quite proud of that. Long day for her.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Sunday everyone!

Stacey - good to hear things are going well. I need to get back to my scrapbook or I'll never get it finished or get the dining room table cleaned off :)

Congrats to Alicia and Kevin on the Science Olympiad. Great job! :cool1:

Amanda - don't let the slow times get you down. They do happen. We've got months and months to get to know each other and we will!

Karen & Mike - welcome home. Glad you enjoyed the ski trip. Tell KT I'm proud of her having her scrapbook page done already!

Karen (Kiki) - how much time does you DH spend at the track for something like the Rolex - does he spend the whole time there and sleep in shifts like the drivers or does he get to come home at all?

Well off to church we go - be back later.

Have a great day everyone!

:rotfl2: Remember... I work with 54 beer guys and 2 women (who don't leave their offices)... it would take a whole lot more than sweet little innocent (yeah right) you to offend me!!!

Mary- in regards to your question, no, he doesn't have to stay there round the clock... more of his work is done before the event than any other time. He actually was home for dinner last night!!!!:Pinkbounc (Of course he was still on call, and we watched the race on TV most of the night, while hanging out in the hot tub). His intern took the night shift last night, so he got to 'sleep in' til 6AM this morning! This week should be better, as there isn't another event til Thursday. July races are the worst, as they are all night events... he works 5AM - 2AM some days.

Sent Elizabeth off to the 2nd day of her competition by herself this morning, as I didn't have anyone to 'pawn' Christopher off on... and there was no way he was sitting through a whole day of cheering. I felt like such a bad mom!!!! I've never missed a competition, and rarely even a football game!!! Oh well, at least if they do well, they'll be on ESPN in a few weeks, so I can see what I missed.

Karen & Mike - the weather here is warming up:flower1: ... should be beautiful by the time you get here!!! My brother from CT is getting here Thursday... he HATES warm weather... loves the snow:cold: ... I am hoping for 80's and sunny, just for him!!!
