The Rolex is a 24hr grand prix road course race at Daytona International Speedway... starts at noon tomorrow and goes through noon Sunday. (Check out SpeedChannel... it will be on live...)

OK, I'm assuming (without you coming out and saying it) that your DH works at the Daytona Speedway? How cool is that??? Is he hard of hearing??? Those tracks are LOUD!!

WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU... I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME AT THE TRACK!!!


Yes, he does work for the Speedway, in Track Operations... ear protection comes in handy on race days. (Daytona isn't as loud as the smaller tracks, as the noise has more room to 'dissipate'... ) It's his busy season, so I see him for about 45 minutes a day between now and the end of Daytona Beach Bike Week... which ends 3/12.

Bummer!! It's been off and on here as well.

Another winter storm moving through this weekend with snow and rain. And to think I was considering washing my truck.......

I talked to the Captain this afternoon and they did both dives today. Weather was to be bad, but they only had 2 ft waves and 1 ft surge on the bottom.

We are to have the same weather tomorrow so hopefully we will get lucky. The van is packed and we are all ready to do. Just need to wait until 5 am to hit the road.

You can tell this is for gymnastics. Sharon is not complaining at all about hitting the road so early. For any other reason.....

Since diving is iffy tomorrow and we are doing a drift dive, I am packing light. No camera. I figure we will finally get to see that Whale Shark we have been looking for. After all, the good stuff only comes out when the camera is left at home.

And yes I am trying to help you children get to the next top. Play nicely now!

That actually sounds like fairly decent conditions! Depends on which way the wind is blowing. Do they predict a Westerly wind? Conditions should be better then.
