Yep - We did early seating for Lisa on the 10 day and we will do late seating for Matt on the May cruise. She should be enough older then so as not to fall asleep at dinner. Also, I felt like we had to leave so many activities early this time to make dinner. KT is welcome to join us when she wants to (she can be the new "ScubaMatt") OR you could change to late seating so all of the 10 year old girls can be together. I think Lauren is in late seating.

I feel that is the real difference between early and late seating. We normally eat at about 6pm to 7pm at home, but with all the cool stuff that is happening on the ship, it just feels "right" to eat a little later. The really young kids do have a hard time of it, and we have seen many fall asleep on their parents or chairs. However, if they can make it later, it works out well for the rest of the activities.

Plus for us early to sleep and rise folks, it gives a a bit of an edge and keeps us up later as well.

No one holds a candle to scuba diver...... 3:30am (who heard of such a thing???) :cool1:

lookie there another T.O.P! :groom: :smooth:

PS Randi, if you would, I would like to go ahead and get the girls emailing. Just let Ashlyn know not to say anything about the cruise. I couldn't take 510 more days of "Is it time to go yet?" :chat:

Hey Kevin, my mom and Dad are from New Mexico, but now live in Colorado. Their parents, however, still live in NM. Do you know, or have you heard of Penasco and Chamisal?

Sure! Small towns, but nice scenary around both locations.

Nice!!

LOL But my favorite TIA (auntie in Spanish for you nonspanish speaking folks :3dglasses ) lives there, so it is a muct to visit occasionally. In fact, I will be in town this summer.

Uhmm Ok call me dunce, I just now realized that the fish in your siggy is NOT a cartoon drawing.........OMgoodness what a clear crisp pic..I really thought it was a toon.

Man, I just changed it too. If you haven't caught on yet, Tinkdancer (Alicia) and I are scuba divers. I like to include pictures of some of the trips I/we have been on.

The orange fish is/was a Garibaldi, a interesting fish from the California waters. This weeks pic is from the manatee dives in Blue Springs after the cruise. A mother manatee and her calf. Very fun!!!

Cool! Lets make it another DIS meet.

The 10-day cruise bunch did that several times. Las Vegas, Orlando, etc.

More the merrier!

dzneprincess ~ Thanks for including us on the list of distinguised travellers for this cruise. I'm Sharon (the soprano in sopandbass), my DH is Steve (the bass) and our DD who will be 5 when we sail is Isabel. The wine jokes are starting early, actually they never ended.

Tomorrow night I give our neighbors their "Wine Glasses that Hold a Bottle of Wine". I may have to borrow one for our 7 day.
I saw this and immediately thought of you ..

Now, how bad is that?

That's ok. List KT as 12. Jim listed Lisa as 12 and she too will be just shy of 12 (I think he just added 2 years to both kids current ages and didn't bother with the fact that Matt will have turned 16 by this cruise, but Lisa will not have turned 12 yet)

Hey I was close. At least I did not put your age up there. Someone is getting close to 50!

We'll probably stay on early... don't think I'll convince hubby otherwise... this is our 1st DCL cruise (but DEFINITELY not our first cruise)... so I'm not sure how often my kids will want to eat with us- I know DD12 will probably eat with the adults more often that DS9, as she loves good food, and will want to try more interesting food than the buffet fare.

We only have a few rules on the ship. One of them is to eat dinner as a family. That is the only time we see the kids and hear about the last 24 hours. It has worked out great and has been fun.

Hi Amanda... no one is ignoring you... but guess what.... I just figured out that I live in the same town as the Scuba's!!!! And our daughters will go to middle school together next year! Small world!

OK everyone... should I switch to late seating dinner??? My kids are so used to eating at 6:00!!!! HELP!

We need to know if you are keeping this cruise a secret from the kids. I would hate for Lisa to ruin it for you.

Good Morning All and Happy New Year

Jim - I don't want to plan too far ahead with Jeanne and this cruise,(fyi my DM will be 87 at the time of this cruise). I would love to bring my 9yo nephew but not sure my sis would let him out of school.

Stacey - I am working on staying up later so perhaps I will even see you in Rockin Bar D.
