CajunGirl...
Seeing your post reminded me ....

My BIL is the manager at the Subway in Alpharetta at Jonesbridge and Statesbridge in the Saddlebrook shopping area. He's located between Kroger and Blockbuster.

He said stop in sometime and let him know who you are and how you know us. He'll make sure you get free ice in your pop!! ;) ;)

Your mom would call protective services on us then.

Not just you... she would call them on ME if I did it to my kids...

Will do. I know exactly where you're talking about. What's his name? You'll have to tell him that I work on Great Oaks Way. The subway is not too far from work so I'll have to go for lunch one day. Hmmm ... getting hungry just thinking about it. :teeth:

His name is Marc. He's the manager there. :)

Kikipug, sounds like you need to go spy on that classroom. Something that teacher is doing seems to be giving your DD an ulcer. Some kids are just more sensitive than others. Even if the teacher isn't yelling at her specifically, she may be living in fear.

And I think I agree with your Mom about tickling. It was better though, than the tossing into the air when she was little.

Stacey, tell Sharon we're all thinking about her. I know I met her in Vegas, but can't remember which lady she was. Can you tell me where she is in our group picture, if it's still on Mary's site?

OM, I know that was a hard decision, but it's probably best. Maybe Maggie could be trained, but it would take a lot more than you have time for, and there's no guarantees. We never got another dog after our Schipperke experience. We have only one cat, but he's the "best cat ever" and he loves us all equally. And cats are SO EASY compared to dogs, especially puppies.

WOW. I invited my brother's family to WDW this summer, adding a second bedroom to our BCV reservation. I figured maybe I could talk my SIL, niece and nephew into it, but my BROTHER said he would go. This is a very big deal. He's not a big walker, because he's a big guy.

Hey, I ALWAYS caught her!! :earseek: And do remember the giggles and the screams of: "Do it again!!" :dancer:

:cheer2: Yea!! Glad your brother is going to do it! Good for him!

And yes, Mary does still have the picture up. Sharon is standing right behind Brittany, in the white blouse and black skirt. Her daughter is Kaylah, with the darker hair and rounder face.

Karen....hope the nurse doesn't turn you in.....I was the "Mean Mom" on the 10 night thread, I am thinking of handing that one over to you! LOL Just kidding....

Back to the laundry.....TTFN....:boat: :umbrella:

Don't ever worry about being a "mean mom". My kids have plenty of stories to tell about their "mean dad".

Just as a quick example, Lisa during a school lesson in class about what you fear most.....her reply......My Dad

Which is probably why she's so fond of roller coasters now. It will be your fault when she starts sky diving, too. And the brain damage is probably your fault...

That Blues Brother smiley is very strange, just sit and look at it for a while.

Stacey, Sharon is the lady I talked to for a while, very nice lady.

Alicia doesn't want to go to the harder jazz class tonight, she's afraid it will "kill" her. More proof that her other class was too easy for her.

Would I also be responsible for her dazzling intellect??? :rolleyes1

Oh yeah, I'd have to get in line behind 'mean dad' in this house... though his bark is worse than his bite...

Isn't it a fine day for a TOP!

I am proof positive that sky diving DOESN'T cause brain damage!!!! If you like roller coasters, you've GOT to try it!!! :scared1:

I mentioned this at dinner tonight, everyone was home, and the kids started coming up with "Dad, do you remember when....." "I throw up at school because you wouldn't come get me" "I hurt my self at gym and you told the coaches not to give me aspirin" "The time you let me use the nail gun and I stapled my foot to the floor" ....

Kids just never forget

But it was so funny...

This summer Lisa learned how to use the nail gun and did a great job. She helped make a bed, desk, shelves for her room.

Hi Guys....still not packed. But I do have things spread out all over...does that count?

My friend Sharon called from the hospital. Bad news. Ken has a cancerous tumor that is inoperable. In the frontal lobe. They doctors are sending him to Barrow Neurological Institute, he's at Mayo right now. They're going to try steroids and then chemo. They are thinking 5 to 7 years. I am hoping there will be some advances in that area in that time.

ah, yes, the hurricane bed set.

Update on Grandma Lightbulb....she went to the gyn/onc today. He says it's 50-50 if it's malignant. Will do surgery Feb 7th and will do pathology tests on the various sections of it. If it's not cancer, it all comes out and she goes on her way. If it is, he needs to open her up farther (like to her breast bone) and take out all connected parts and lymph nodes and the likes. Leaving no stone unturned...he'll search it all. Then it will be the whole chemo route, but I guess we can't worry about that until we find out what we're dealing with.

Thanks for all of the prayers!
