Wow...I'm getting close to my 10,000th post. That's a lot of yapping.

I guess I should think of something really profound, huh? How much time do I have??? :scratchin

Oh my goodness. don't get nightmares over that. *I* don't even worry about it and he's MY dh. I'll just keep him away from SCUBA gear and it will be a non-issue. :) Then again, it's not like it's a big deal b/c he had no desire to SCUBA in the first place. :)

Okay, I guess that's good he has no desire then. LOL

Thanks for all the replies ohiominnie!

Okay I looked for the coppertone spectra and so far haven't been able to find it! Is the water babies that was mentioned something for the face or just lotion for "everywhere" that works okay on the face? I don't mind using just whatever lotion on the face as long as it's not the kind that if you sweat or get in the water it burns the crap out of your eyes. The spray stuff (bullfrog) does that. yes, I tried to rub the spray kind of bullfrog on my face to avoid the greasy stick- don't ever try it. Trust me- don't ever do that. LOL Did it at the water park and thought my eyes were going to burn for the rest of my life! Pretty much did most of the day after just doing that once! :(

MARY- please could you tell me like what kind of shirts you're wearing with the black skirt on semi/formal nights?
I'm seriously fashion deficient- my regular clothes are either shorts, jeans or capris with TEE SHIRTS! I do plan on wearing probably mostly capris- maybe one skirt- with blouses instead of tees- for dinner each evening but I haven't figured out what to wear for semi/formal nights yet. I don't have to go super formal anyway because my girls will be wearing nice dresses but not specifically what I'd call "formal" at their ages- more like dresses that are a little fancier than normal church dresses- kinda like easter dressier type? They were bought for the cruise in other words- not just dresses they normally wear to church but not super formal. My DH will be wearing slacks, dress shoes, button shirt & tie and MAYBE a jacket if it still fits him -he's lost weight the past few months- but no tux & as you can see what I have described is not "super" formal either. My son will be in pretty much the same except clipon tie. lol So I don't have to be super formal but dressier than the other evenings- yanno? And I have already came across/purchased a black skirt... if only I can figure out what type of shirt would go nicely with it for semi/formal night I'd be set! I bought it because it fit well and I figured I could wear blouses with it but can't really figure out what type of shirt would be appropriate for more formal evenings. LMK please? I need serious help in this respect- I'm not a fancy dresser- even my church dresses are far from what I'd call even semi-formal.

Formal night I have a gold two-piece sweater set. The bottom piece is a sleeveless top and the sweater top is longer to cover my big bottom. :)

Semi-formal I have a black/grey top to go over the black skirt. I've worn it on a number of cruises and it is very comfortable. Kind of tunic style on the bottom.

See I told those of you that were on the 10 day you'd be seeing me in the same outfits. :lmao: What can I say I'm not a fashion person. I wear what is comfortable. I'm business casual 4 days a week at work and totally casual (meaning jeans) on the 5th day. Why these clothes work for me cruise wise is they are easy to pack and don't take a lot of room.

Thanks Stacey - she already clarified...

How about Vanna White......Think vowels...

If you are there during the "E"vent, .... the (music) is piped in AND you get to see the FIREWORKS.....

Now WISHES is better in person....not sure how much damage the hurricanes did to the trees since they had grown up around the windows....but the food service stops, and the kids are allowed to run to the windows.....Nice...

If you have finished eating then go down to the beach (with one of those pineapple drinks) and watch the fireworks from their. Boat parade too.

Are we the only ones that have not gotten docs yet? Should I be concerned?

I believe there are still a number of families that still haven't gotten their documents. If you booked through a travel agent you might want to ask them. Some agents have the documents come to them first while others have them sent to you right from DCL.

Good Morning All -

Thank you for the well wishes! I am sure RECEIVING THE DOCS YESTERDAY helped in my recovery. Not up to dancing yet. My docs show us in Coz until 11pm. Is that still pirate night?

Mary - I also called DCL and they let me know when they sent the docs to the travel agent......then I called the T/A knowing about when she would have received them.....

P.S. DCL also told me that if your T/A does not send you the docs, you can still board ifyou have filled out the on-line forms...There are extras at the Port....

But it would be nice to have docs, wouldn't it????? :confused3 :confused3

How does flying affect it??

No problem with flying. Mike says it's the high pressure that's the problem. With SCUBA you have the added pressure of the water on your eye.

And with flying you have a pressurized cabin, so there isn't a problem. Now, should the cabin suddenly depressurize....well, then you've got bigger problems than your eye exploding (it really doesn't explode, it can cause a sudden hemmorhage causing you to immediately lose all vision in the eye)

The first George Bush had this surgery in BOTH eyes....and yet he went skydiving. :)
