EVERY cruise we have been on, we are ALWAYS the first to get our docs.....Don't know why. But......I'm not complaining. Nothing says "I'm going on a cruise", like a package of documents!

Well-- I am a real nervous mom right now. Ashley is at school doing Cheerleader tryouts. They have had practice the last 2 days and today is the actual tryouts. I think they are going to post results as soon as they finish today. They are going to take 8 6th graders and 8 7th graders for the squad. She really wants to get in. I am nervous because I know I will need to be there to pick up the pieces if she doesn't and her friends do make it. I am sure all you moms and dads can relate to that.

One bit of good news, she was accepted into National Junior Honor Society, so that is good. Will post later on the results

Congrats to Ashley on the Honor Society and Good Luck at tryouts!

Thanks to everyone for the very warm welcomes. I will absolutely be here to keep up to date with everything going on. This is so exciting to actually be part of a group and get to know other cruisers. We went in 2004 and didn't know anybody except the family we were seated with at dinner and they didn't keep in touch after the cruise even though we sent them emails and pic of their dd with our ds'.

Tinytink. Glad to have you aboard with us. Like Ohiominnie said, you'll be going from one extreme to the other. This is our first cruise. Let me introduce ourselves..me(Maria), DH (Augie), DS (AJ 10), and DS (Anthony 6). We're from NY and we can't wait to meet everyone. We leave in 3 weeks from tomorrow. It's coming fast. Can't wait to meet ya.

The last guy brought the crossmember bar for the tranny to an old Chevelle...he's modifying it. He hands me four pages of instructions and says "Tell your guys to read it, and if they have trouble, there's an 800 number to call". So I said "Did you read it? Can you maybe give me an idea of what they need to do?" He says he was told that "any idiot who knows how to weld" can do it.

Wadda clown, If any idiot could do it, why doesn't he do it himself?

Seriously, I have to do that too. And I am an idiot that knows how to weld.

Pam, that's great about Ashley's acceptance into the Honor Society! And I hope she did well in the tryouts. (You may have already posted the results, but I haven't gotten that far down yet.)

I have a llist of things I've been jotting down needing for this cruise....like corkscrew....
and one of them is "print copy of elf." With a smiley face after it. It IS in my handwriting, but I have NO idea what it means.
