Good news for Kristin - she got a call from Boeing for a job interview. She's doing a phone interview on Tuesday so all PD would be appreciated! It's working for Boeing at NASA in Houston!!!! She is so excited - I really hope that she gets it. She wants to cruise with us - and is planning on saying she's out of the country until 06/03/06 - which is true.....

Going to go over some interviewing techniques with her this weekend.......

OK - last bit of news.....

This weekend is Frances' last hurrah as President of the WV State Medical Association Alliance. She is sooooo glad to be done with it. She's been stressed all week about things - and some of the people who decided at the last minute that they can't come to the meeting...... but she's so glad it's over.....

Nice dinner Friday - and a murder mystery dinner on Saturday to end it.....

I used to ask my "preacher" brother that same question. His answer was somewhere along the lines of "It wasn't the same "wine" that we would drink now".

2 more reasons:

drinking water in Palestine was like drinking water today in Mexico.

there were no cars.

DS and I have been diving for 3 years now. In Florida it is a year around activity so we have lots of chances to dive. That is what makes it lots of fun. Some times we do the Keys, others we do the springs. All depends on the weather, we were are at for the weekend, and what we feel like.

The sad part is DS turing 16. I'm losing my dive buddy. He is gone all summer so I need to hook up with a local dive club to get some new buddies.

We want to hit the Keys this summer....interested? And I do wish to dive springs, we have never done so.....

It's been ordered. I have not seen a proof of the label. Guess it's time to follow up on it.

Matt and Lisa have both been lifting weights to get in shape to carry it all on board. :lmao:

Sam packed up the Port and Maderia - compartmentalized box from the liquer store.....and bubble wrap. We even have our Florida port - no clue what it will taste like.....we are looking for samplers at the Coffee Cove on Brandy night....

Here is another question from the 'I need to go on more DCL to keep up files"

What about this signing up for everything on-line? We tried to get our Palo ressies and were told they were booked???? :furious: Then we were told they still have space but only take a certain # of ressies on-line... Do we do the mad ressie rush now or can I get a # for that too? :lmao: Or do I have to 'take somebody out' to get my spot? pirate:

OOPS!!! Sorry... I am logged in under DD's name....
It is me DBCS - Barbara

Gosh if no one has answered here is an update........so far as we have figured, they only let a certain number of ressie's for the entire cruise. Because we have so many repeat cruisers on this cruise and also it is fairly sold out, the Palo ressie's were all snatched up by about 3:15 am 90 days out...that is when repeat cruisers who are not Cat's 1..2..and 3 could book....so there are many of us who are "out of luck" like you. I was able to go on line and snag the Palo dinner but not brunch.....all the new cruisers who had to wiat fr 75 days out were completely out of luck...so there will be the mad dash to reservations when we board the ship and we will wait in line to see if we can get our ressies......This was the old system and it is not fun, stressful....but we "hear" that most folks will be able to get their ressie's. My two cents is that it might work for Palo's dinner but don't hold your breath for Palo's brucnh or high tea as we have 2 sea days and not 3 ..... When there are 3 sea days, I think there are enough times for all to be accomodated. I know that for the 4 day cruise, with 1 sea day, there are not....just not sure about the math for the 2 sea day. Confused yet :confused3

Good Luck - luck for me in line......

I was waiting for that......How about if I ask for 41.5 and Virgil asks for 41.5???

Are we 83 total cruisers are 83 cabins????

Back to Marks' comment, I wonder if they give the family reunion groups mass boarding passes....We are family - right?

And to get us started this Friday.....

We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up ev'rybody and sing

Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by
(FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(ALL!) all of the people around us they say
Can they be that close
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose

(CHORUS x2)

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
(HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
(WE!) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family Jewel

It does look like fun and would be something I could do. I hate snorkelling b/c of the water that always ends up in my snorkel.

Mike cannot CANNOT try this. He had eye surgery for his glaucoma and the doc told him he can NEVER do anything like this. The change in pressures could cause his eye to literally explode. And he says it's normally fatal b/c when you're 20 ft under and your eye explodes, you freak and die. Freaking while SCUBA-ing is NOT good. :)

There is always splashing in the waves..........

OK... now a little bit more done. We have a place to stay the night before the cruise. We decided to join ya'll folks at the Radisson, catching the first shuttle to the Port. So, we will be at JBs for dinner then on to CapeCanaveral.

Yippeeee.....we are ready////////must stop at the Irish Pub first - for our last taste os Smithwick's before the cruise...Cannot stop after JBs...it is a true to form Irish Pub, brews, no food, so they can legally allow smoking......and I'd be like those dead birds Stacey posted about after 5 minutes inside......Maybe they have set tables outside for the non-smokers...now that's a switch :teeth:

You forget, two plus the scuba bikini. She doesn't wear that one in "public".

Gave that one up when I peeled it off at the same time as the rash guard during my first open water dive decades ago.....Luckily I had a protective dive buddy........to the rescue with a towel.....
