Yes. Both Mike and I thought Katherine sounded GREAT.....and then the judges slammed her. We were flabergasted. We thought she did well. What was lousy about Simon apologizing the NEXT night is that it was AFTER voting. I'm glad she didn't get voted off b/c of it. At least AMERICA can tell good singing. Btw, I'm pleased with the results of last night's show. That person was driving me to the edge (not saying who in case Sandi hasn't watched it yet)

Same here, rooting for Terry. I'll watch it in the morning. We just got back from getting DS from Sylvan. I did watch AI this morning and let a big 'WOO HOO' when they announced the person voted off. They were SO annoying to me.

It's 4:00 EST. Exactly 1 month from today we'll be at the lifeboat drill, and I'll be wearing a life jacket with a big "L" on it.....much to my dismay!!!

Sounds like we need pictures of that!!

The sad part is DS turing 16. I'm losing my dive buddy. He is gone all summer so I need to hook up with a local dive club to get some new buddies.

Well, this will have to do for now. This is the lifeboat drill preparations from our first cruise. The cruise where I searched high and low for a new lifevest becaues I was looking for a "M" for Medium....I didn't want to wear a "Large" lifevest.

Mike knew at that time, but didn't tell me until later....our assembly station was "L" so our lifevests were marked accordingly!!

Uh oh.....That's not good. After all, you're breathing the same air. They used to send canaries down into caves before the men went down to test for carbon monoxide. If the birds didn't come back....don't go down there. Maybe before you go into the shop tomorrow you should put a bird in there and see what happens.

Somebody mentioned Bird Flu...and I thought "That's encouraging". So far, it's a mystery. The hummingbird had been in the shop a day or so ago....and was already dazed, he even let Bill pick him up and carry him outside. Goodie....we'll probably all get sick.
Then again, who's to say it was the same hummingbird?? I didn't get his name.

I used to ask my "preacher" brother that same question. His answer was somewhere along the lines of "It wasn't the same "wine" that we would drink now".

Private Label wine?? Really? I make mead here for myself and friends, but, I have never made any "conventional" wine... I'll be looking forward to that info!!

As far as the Mixer in my room, I'd be happy to, but I am not sure there is enough room... When I did it last July, we had the Roy suite and even at that, it was full... lol.. though, I'm up for anything! I usually suggest everyone brings a bottle from their home state, it makes it interesting...

We all brought a bottle from our home states last year.....and I think you're right, and Jim was teasing...not enough room in a Cat 3. Too bad all of us 3's aren't connecting with a way to open the verandahs! Who has the WALT??? LOL

The "Vegas Men" thing is an inside joke. I go to Vegas a lot, and whenever one of the other DISers is there, I try to make the trip for a mini DIS meet....but it seems like it's almost always the MEN who are there!!!

HEY...I just thought of something.....do you know William Watters?? I think he was a judge in Las Vegas....attorney, maybe.....he was a very good friend of mine in high school. Really funny guy.

Hi all - long day here - Thursday was my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. So I drove up to Wheeling after my morning meetings to spend a few hours with them. I then drove back - slept for a couple of hours - and here I am at work.....
