Kevin -- they spent the day here, and are coming back to finish up in the morning. I really like the main guy that is here. He is going to take care of something else for me on the roof and isn't going to charge me any extra for it. I will let you know tomorrow how it goes. The kids are getting really excited for it. We went with the 5 ton, 14 seer unit made by Gordon. They told us it is made by Amana and is much quieter than the Carrier units and just as good. Hope they are right. Have you heard anything about them??

Sounds like they are treating you right! I've heard good things about the Gordon units. Carrier is such a recognized name, but there are a lot of other units just as good or better out there.


An up-duct? Sounds like a waste of perfectly good conditioned air to me. Glad these guys are taking care of it!

So for early seating you'll have your asst. server come around for drink orders, then your server will take your food order, then Ohiomickey will come around to the tables with the story of the day. Don't forget to tip him on the last evening!

We are planning on spending the day at Paradise Beach. I believe, according to the huge thread over on CC that the taxi's are $13 each way for up to 4 people. We are going to get there pretty early and then do the Fury Snorkelling catamaran that is around 1 pm.
Dominique would love to meet and play with the other younger kids in the group.

Great!! The list is growing! We are bringing our own snorkel gear, and from what I read, there's some decent fish at the far edge of their swimming area... we'll try that. I'm sure the kids will all have a great time together, too!

I've got just the thing for your dandilions and Mark's violets....a woodchuck!! We have one that is living under our shed and I saw him today munching on all the flowers. Leaves the greenery and eats the buds. Perfect for ya. Anybody want him???

Irene... have you tried Bare-Knuckle Stout? It's 'one of ours', (though definitely our most 'obscure' brand), and lots of Guinness drinkers like it better! Makes a great "Irish American" (as opposed to a Black & Tan) when combined with Bud.

We've got one of those too!!!!!! Although I call him a groundhog....is that the same thing??? This creature is HUMONGEOUS. If I was my dad, I'd go out and shoot him, but the only gun I have is a water gun and I don't think that's going to cut it.

Just that I was up in the middle of the night. Got up to pee and Mike said "did you hear that noise? It sounded like a gunshot!" Huh? What? Plus I saw a post on the budget board about one of those oil radiant heaters that blew up and leaked oil all over and then I was too worried that ours (in our beautiful sunroom) was going to do the same.
