UPDATE: BAGS/SHIRTS

Talked to the vendor this morning and it looks like things are going well. The extra shirts came in and they are printing those today, as well as finishing the bags. She said things should ship tomorrow afternoon. She is going to be in my neighborhood tomorrow, so she is delivering mine to me. When I get my stuff, I will let you all know....

Kevin just called and asked if we have lanyards. So you know he's reading the thread at work!

I was thinking the photography buffs should have a gathering, but maybe it will happen at JB's. John, Kevin, and Mark will all be there. Any others? They can go off and talk about taking pictures and the rest of us can talk about anything else.

We are leaving for FL two weeks from today! Yikes!!! Now you all have me thinking about laundry. Guess I will do a load in Vero Beach, where it's free for DVC members.

I just got emails from my homeschool curriculum provider....I'll be getting SEVEN packages from them tomorrow.....

But those aren't the packages I WANT!!!! WAAAAAAAA

p.s. Glad Sue is doing better! :)

So do you have to ship all those packages back? Bummer!

Yes, hope Sue is up and posting soon!

No no no. Sorry, I was unclear. I DO want those packages, but not as much as I want my DOCS!!!!!!

Although, I've read reports on my other message board that some ppl are getting used materials (our homeschool curriculum provider sells to independant users--me--and to virtual school users) The virtual school ppl have to return their materials every year, and apparently the stocks are getting mixed up. For the price I pay, I do NOT want used materials.

I think OHMinnie was referring to the fact that she wants her DCL package rather than homeschooling. I may be wrong though.

Hi Everyone!

Too many posts for me to catch up....hope I didn't miss anything.

We won't have a door sign as I don't have time to make one...boo hoo. :sad2:
We did pick up a new camera, however!! I'm really excited as it is a digital SLR (which also means I now need to learn how to use it???!!!!) :cool1: Oh! Also picked up a backpack camera bag so lugging it around won't be a "problem"!!! :rotfl:

We won't be able to make JB's...but we are really looking forward to meeting all of you on the ship! :grouphug:

I don't know that I'll be posting much between now and the cruise...just know that we're thinking of all of you and can't wait too!!!!

BTW, our cruise docs were mistakenly mailed to our TA who happens to be on a MED cruise and now the office will have to try and find us.... :confused3 :sad2: Now, if we're not on the ship, you'll know why???!!!!

Take care!

Sandi - I ordered them from Oriental Trading when I was ordering things for Christmas. I didn't even open them yet. They're in my "to be packed" box with all the other odds 'n ends.
Oriental Trading, US Toy, or Kipp Brothers. I got them from one of these companies. The library is doing an island theme for summer reading, so I just order with them, or I ordered some things the same time as Sunday School ordered Easter and split the shipping cost. Kipp Brothers is my favorite; boxes get here 2 days after I order. We're surprising ds with a peg-leg pirate teddy bear that we got from Kipp when we get on board. Almost 12 years old and he still likes stuffed animals (he'd die if he knew I was telling on him, no offense Bear and Hedgie).

OK, mine is Jolly Charity
Ours are Mad Anne Bonney
Cheatin' Thomas Cutty
Cap'n Jack Roughknucles (ds)

I already have our pirate night door sign printed with our pirate names and ready to go pirate: pirate: pirate: .

3 or 4 different kinds of prescription antibiotics--mostly doctor sample packs

I'm packing one pair of pants for dh besides his suit. Actually, I'll let him pack, then I'll take out 3/4 of what he puts in.

OM lets me pack my own stuff, but instead of taking out, she makes sure nothing needs to go in. I actually forgot to pack shorts once for a week long WDW trip. Good thing we had a washer in the room!!

That's interesting! JUST in the morning??

Does that mean we need to travel that route at other times?? or not at all??

How are y'all packing already? We need to wear the clothes that we're packing over the next 2.5 weeks. I guess I could pack our dress clothes but that's it. I'll be packing on Wed., May 24 & finishing on Thurs., May 25. We head out on the evening of the 25th.

Ang

That would be us too, except we have TONS of stuff going on between now and when we leave. Plus here in Ohio we aren't really wearing our summer clothes yet.

FYI- FROM THE LOCAL NEWS WEBSITE

Now that It's official, I-95 and the Beachline will be closed for at least the next month, everyday, during the morning commute from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. or longer in Brevard County, here are some alternate routes.

If you usually take State Road 528, you may want to use U-S 192, State Road 50, or State Road 520 to go east or west.

Folks traveling north and south should use U.S. 1 instead of I-95.

Of course, traffic is going to be much heavier on all those roads, so be sure to leave plenty of extra time and bring your patience as you head to work or school.

LATEST PORT STATUS

May 4, 2006

Port Canaveral is open and operations are normal.

Because of periodic road closures in Brevard County due to brush fires, please dial 511 in Florida for the most current information on road conditions and alternative routes.
