OK.... Just posting randomly to stay awake :Pinkbounc

So what is the thing with getting a TOP.... Why was I so happy? :confused3

Seems like I saw some other GS Moms... I am DD7's Brownie leader... Just finished cookies today!!! :yay: :yay: Did any of you do the cookies-on-hand sale this year?

We only did 2 store sessions then ended up with 30 boxes - to many to do another sale, so the girls took a trip to the Ronald McDonald House in Galveston with their pop tabs and donated the rest of the cookies to the House.

Our cookie sales started Jan 20 - so, we're all done....January is a rough time, everyone is on their new year diets...

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!!! :cake: :bday: :cake:

My son's 16th birthday is 2 months and a day away. Oh no, we have to find a car before then

So, anybody read any good books lately? :goodvibes I am such a nerd! :p

I found the perfect cruise series -

The Outlander Series - by Diana Gabaldon...6 books all about 800 pages...

Historical Fiction - basic premise - 1945 English post-war nurse gets pulled back in time through a Stonehenge type ring to 1740's Scotland...

Other than that - I'm reading my Pilates Manuals, the Anatomy of Movement, and other very stimulating, entertaining, and engrossing texts...

I'm hopefully testing for my pilates certification the first weekend in May, so I'm trying really hard not to see the 4th Outlander book sitting under my anatomy book...

I remember (kind of) reading a book with that premise a couple or so years ago. It was very interesting reading.

Mike, at 11, is already assuming he will get a Corvette when he turns 16... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He'll be lucky if he gets to drive dad's Highlander...

I'm just hoping I won't dropkick the Beetle before then...I'm guarenteed a car - he's 11 and 5'2" already - By 16 he won't fit comfortably and it's stick shift....See, there was a method to my madness when we bought that car.... :lmao:

Almost 90 minutes later and I'm all caught up - Today's agenda - Register Maggie for Fall Soccer...10:00 Volleyball game and then a 2:00 appointment for Mike at the middle school try out various band instruments...His preferences: Trombone, Trumpet, and Sax...

It's a different world from when I was in school...They have individual instrument class during the school day - practice rooms, and over 300 kids in the middle school band with 3 band directors...140 kids in the beginning band....

The director strives for a balance of sound...wow! novel concept...not all flutes and clarinets...

They need 26 trombones... 26....yikes!!!

2 weeks- graduation!

3 1/2 weeks- DBF graduation

5 WEEKS- our cruise! I can't wait!

I don't know which one Im more excited about, my graduation or my cruise!

Speaking of books and nerds........There's a series by Vicki Lewis Thompson
Nerd in Shining Armor
Nerd Gone Wild
The Nerd Who Loved Me
Gone with the Nerd
Talk Nerdy to Me
I've read a couple of them so far.

I really like The Boy Next Door by Meg Cabot. It's written all as emails.
Can You Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella was good too. And, there's the series about me by Sophie Kinsella..........Confessions of a Shopaholic, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties the Knot, and Shopaholic & Sister (I didn't like that one as much).

As you can tell I'm not an intellectual reader :teeth: Actually, I'm not an intellectual anything :teeth:

The other night when I brought up the Jimmy Buffett concert I meant to tie that in with asking about Margaritaville in Orlando. I forgot to post that part! How is it? Is it fun? Worth going to? Someone at the concert said the one in Vegas is great.

We don't have much planned this weekend. DS13 is camping. DS16 and DH are going dirt bike riding today. Tonight DH and I are going with the neighbors to some fancy eatin' place for their anniversary
