I'm just catching up on posts and this might already have been beaten to death, but...

The average US family can't afford it. The average European family can.

US families are not the market this time. They are going after the European market and trying to create interest there.

Agree- I think the US based DIS'ers have forgotten that. But, is there really a european market for a Disney ship? Temporarily, I think they'll do o.k.- but, if they are testing a permanent interest - I'm not sure - EuroDisney or DLP whatever it's called now has struggled for a long time - Tokyo Disney has had it's struggles too.

Good Morning All - Where has the morning gone?

Oh, catching up on last nights posts (dial up is really slow today).
Congrats on the milestone KEVIN and PAM.

Sue

Sue, when are you gong to make the plug and get DSL?

I just made reservations for Matt's 16 birthday party.

We are having it in Deland, FL. It will be a free falling party. :confused3

Hey everybody - I'm back home!!! I know, I know --- "OH! Were you gone? We hadn't noticed!" :lmao:

Had a GREAT trip to WDW. Tori LOVES Expedition Everest :woohoo:

We got home just in time for the big storms that moved through Georgia last night. Angie & Julia: how did your areas do? Lots of damage around metro Atlanta, but none in our neighborhood. Amanda? Did Columbus get the bad weather? Y'all need to check in so we know all is well, OK?

Thanks, Monica! It really is good to be back home!! I need to get my work caught up so I can get ready for the cruise!! I saw where we late diners will have the APL rotation :thumbsup2 Is there any other important info I missed?

Pam: did you get over to the parks during your Orlando trip?

Ladypoo: hope your family had a great time at the parks. I didn't see anyone who was an *obvious* DISer, but I know many of us were out there!!!

Hey Laura,

Glad you had a great trip.

Boy, was that some weather at 4:15 AM. The weather radio was going off every few minutes with a new warning. For a little while I thought we'd have to cram 6 people in to the laundry room. Emily woke up but Ashley slept through it. Anyway, we are fine. Looks like either high winds or a F1 tornado hit Crabapple area - probably only 5-10 miles from us ... near our church.

Julia is in Sandy Springs. Seems like East Cobb got hit too. There is someone else from this thread that lives in Cobb (sorry, can't remember the name). News is reporting lots of folks without power.

I just noticed the poster above me is WVMD. I was actually born in WV, but left it for MD very soon after I was born. Then, my parents moved to MS when NAVOCEANO moved to the south. I know nothing of WV since neither of my parents are from there. Sometime I would like to take my family there to check it out and see the area where I was born.

Karen,

I did work for NAVO for a while. Let's see ... in '89 I worked out at Stennis for probably 9 months. Then I switched companies (a different contractor) & worked from our office in Slidell but did work for different agencies at Stennis - mostly NRL & NAVO ... that would have been '90-'96. DH worked for a contractor that worked on rocket stuff.

Jim - I would love dsl, fios, etc....

I live too rural to get it. I will probably go wireless next time I get a new pc.

Hey there!

It's me. Been busy these last couple of days so I haven't checked in. Looks like another milestone was reached!! Congrats to whoever got it! :)

Yesterday we spent all day at the National Zoo. Saw the pandas, including the new baby. AWWWWWWWWWW.

Today it's rainy rainy rainy. :( Luckily we've seen everything outside we've wanted to. We have the option of going to the National Air and Space Museum's annex but I think we're passing. A lot of the stuff there is the same as we have at the National Air Force Museum in Dayton (we were just there) or we saw at Kennedy Space Center a couple of years ago.

I think the plan today is just to RELAX. The kids are going to swim, we'll play some games. Wander around our little hotel area a bit. Find someplace good to eat dinner.....just chill on our last day! The Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is today (a local told us it's about a 2 1/2 hour parade) but the Weather Channel is showing a big green mass for the forseeable future, so we'll pass on watching a 2 1/2 hour outdoor parade! :)

Okey dokey....off to chill....

have fun....

Angie - glad your family is ok and didn't get hit with the twisters.

Hope everyone else is OK and didn't get hit.

Good morning all.

Congratulations to our milestone winners!!!

Weather here in NY is yucky to say the least. Rain, rain go away. Guess we need though after having the dries March on record in this area. As the saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers", and cruises.

Can't believe it's only 7 weeks away!!! I really, really gotta get packing. Way too excited. My DH just shakes his head. He doesn't appreciate all the work that goes into making sure we have everything we need to survive on vacation. :rotfl:

Well, I can't stay too long. DS has a BD party to get to and I have to go out in this weather. Not my idea of fun.

See ya later alligator.

Good morning from rainy New Jersey. Actually, I'm glad it's lousy out today, because I really need a quiet day with no excuses for running around. It was a really busy week, including a wine tasting on Thursday night and much wine drinking at a friend's house last night. Not quite running on all the cylinders this morning. So I'm just going to suck down the rest of my coffee, do a load or two of laundry, and dream of where we'll all be in just 7 weeks. Ah...

Go for it!!! It'll be sooo much easier to claim your baggage at the airport! (Unless a boat load of Dis'ers buy them) Last time I flew, I swiped Maggie's hot pink suitcase to pack- I could spot that thing from a mile away...

Our bags are a Royal Purple. Can't tell you how many baggage handlers, drivers, etc have commented on what a great idea that was!

You know what I say to that?? DCL should forget what the European market wants, and worry about what WE want. WE want more ships!!! Perhaps they are hoping to have the Europeans help pay for said new ships??? ::yes::

T.O.P. :thumbsup2

Can we combine his with Jordan's? She's been driving me nuts wanting to know what we're doing for her "Sweet Sixteen". I tried to tell her that we were taking she and a friend on an all-expense paid cruise to CC (x2), Costa Maya and Cozumel....she didn't fall for that. And I am running out of time. Her birthday is May 11.

Hi Laura! Welcome home....glad you had fun!! I know what you mean, it's fun to go, but nice to be home also.

Logging off now. Our busy weekend is starting. RODEO! Yee Haw!
We're going to roast out there. 85° both days. :sunny:

Thankfully guys don't do Sweet Sixteen parties. They just want something they can tell all the buddies about.
