But do they have chunks of kitty litter in them???

Ya know how they say, "every 7 years your body chemistry changes"? Well, I think they're right cause I never had sinus problems before and lately, I've been suffering with sinus headaches and pressure. Ears hurt. Oh it's wonderful. I must be getting old or something. The ole grey mare...

Anyway, my little guy has been home from school the last 3 days with a temperature, runny nose, sneezing and glassy eyes. Well we went to the Doctor's office and he has STREP throat. Oh joy. So, he's had a whole day of antibiotics. Hopefully he can go to school in the morning, but I'm not too sure about that. We'll see what shape he's in in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed cause I'm starting to get cabin fever.

I did something I do about once a year - I ordered pizza for dinner!!!
DH was not charmed it is not his favorite!!! :thumbsup2

He'd never survive in our house. That is a staple. As is leftover pizza. :)

Well, THAT hit me out of nowhere.

One minute I'm fine, posting kitty litter stories. The next I'm huddled in a blanket shivering uncontrollably. I took Motrin, got into my bed with two blankets and a comforter and turned the heated mattress pad on high. Eventually I stopped shivering, but I still feel like I was hit by a Mack truck.

Thinking it's a reaction to the vaccine I got yesterday at the doctor's office. I think his theory was "if the high cholesterol doesn't kill you, this shot WILL!" :lmao:

Maria,

So sorry for the little guy. Glad you got him to the doctor though. My 21 y/o, Rachel, has always been prone to strep so we lots of experience with it here. Her doctor always told us she had to stay home from school until she'd been on antibiotics for 48 hours. Maybe that was just to be on the safe side? :confused3 Anyway, at least he's on the mend now. :yay:

Ah, that's so sweet. But isn't "compassionate 15 y/o" an oxymoron?

Ignore this post, I'm just teaching KT and Nick all about Virgil's Thing. :)

Better now than in 57 days!!! (We don't want to keep Mike & Virgil busy on their vacation!) Hope he's feeling better.

Poor little guy. I hate strep, although, at least you start treating it and you feel better in a couple of days. With viral sore throats you have to let it run it's course and you can be miserable much longer.

KT actually was a strep carrier at one point. She'd rarely have symptoms, but always have strep. She ended up having to take this stuff called Rifampin which turned everything orange (pee, tears, spit, etc)

If you get sick on the cruise, better look up Virgil first. Mike might be busy in the litterbox. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Boy, you're just full of gross bodily function mutation stories tonight, aren't you??

Remember, I trained as a nurse. I'm married to a doctor. This is normal conversation for us. You should HEAR our dinner table talk sometimes!! Don't worry, Mark and Mary, we put those stories on hold when we are in the company of others!!! :)

That's what the pediatrician told us too (years ago) about Rachel - that she was a "carrier". Doctor said she'd likely "outgrow it" - and I guess she did, but she's had strep twice in the last year. (I'm sure the fact that she lives in the sorority house has something to do with it!!)

Yesterday's News - made from recycled newspaper.
Or Feline Pine - made from recyled wood.
Or regular clay litter without a scent????

Then there is the outside sandbox :lmao:

Clay litter has dust. That will gunk up kitty's lungs. Not nice.
