Don't know yet. Since it was just the siding and barn, I'm guessing winds. I know a funnel cloud passed over us. Larry's shop (pole barn), chicken coop, and our old wooden 3-story corn crib were fine as far as I can tell. I'll know more tomorrow in the light of day. We were not shocked about the barn. It had some rotting timbers and header beams on one side. We've been debating for the 4 years that we've lived here whether to restore it or not. Guess the decision was made for us.

And maybe insurance will cover it! Looking at the sunny side...

I would definitely agree with that. Especially knowing that the concert is in Glendale. Pretty safe there. Come on down!

Maria....I know how hard all of that is. You are right, he's lucky to have a wonderful daughter. Sounds like he raised her well. A great reminder for us to treat our kids well.....(they'll choose our nursing homes!)
But seriously, I think he has a special DIL, too. How wonderful for him to have a caring, loving family. Prayers are with you all!!

Good evening guys,

Thanks for all your prayers and PD. Well, today had to be one of the toughest at our house. I took the kids and hightailed out of here so in-laws can be alone. My SIL and DH told dad about the findings in his CT scan. He wasn't too surprised. He said he could "feel" that something wasn't right. They talked about all his options. Now it's just up to him what he wants to do. My SIL takes him to the Doctor's office tomorrow to discuss things. It's just so sad. He will probably go back up to Syracuse with SIL. He said he has been feeling weak and thinks it's best if he's with her. I feel bad for her, too. It's just my SIL and her DH. They don't have any kids, just 2 dogs. But having someone else in your home is a bit disruptive. He's a very luck man to have a daughter as good as her. I can only hope I am that lucky with my sons, but we all know how that goes.

I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I've never met any of you and I feel I know you. Thanks again.

Continued prayers for your FIL today as he discusses this with his Doctor....And your entire family.....

Well cant be any worse then from here to ATL which is just under 2 hours? I went to mapquest and put in cave creek to phoenix and it sd 32.xx miles? Not that I would impose on you like that, but it would be cool to see you ;-) I am so sad because it looks like ATL is a no go this tour. My other options are NYC and Miami. I do not think I would feel comfortable in either of those cities alone.

If you come to Miami you can stop by and say HI....and stop at WDW on the way back..'course I am not volunteering to go to Miami with you....and I am not a concert fan.....

Maybe I will just go outside, face north and wave!!!!! You;ll see me in GA..

Thanks Kevin - yes, you were right about the weight....now I can sorta stand up when the tank is full....and I did learn something in the keys....Prior to putting on full suit, rinse self all over with cold water.....And these guys did the dive briefing prior to suiting up....all that helped, (and yes flat seas...I know understand what Jim says, we live in Fla, why dive when the seas are rough...)

The fish was less blue and more neon purple, very bright....with a definite stripe of yellow....Paler than the one you posted. It really stood out....Sam was not close to it, he tried to get its pic...but perhaps only a tail....no downloads yet.

Mornin' all! Wow... 8 weeks to go! Yippee! (Of course, still have those pounds to lose...)

We did some work on our vacation this morning. We decided to cancel the AKL reservations in favor of something less expensive. Unfortunately, though, Jim pointed out that we're used to pretty high level hotels, which typically don't equate with budget conscious. After a dizzying couple of hours of research (couldn't sleep again), I'd narrowed it down to 3, but Jim then decided on the Onmi. Around $150 less a night and the pool looks amazing (let's face it - that's the important part, right?), complete with a "river" to tube on. Cool!

Now we just need to do the rental car, and I THINK we'll be all set.

Today we're heading to NYC to see the circus. Should be fun. I can't remember the last time I went to one. Erin's completely excited.

What great plans,,,,and you will have just as much fun taking time to visit the AKL and stroll around. You can drink more wine that way....Boma is one of our favourite resturants - the African wine is great....and the African flair food is very good...try the hot sauce they offer on the buffet...yummy....and the chicken, super......They have a variety of African style vegies...also intersting, don't tell the kids they are interesting or they won't eat them....Make ressies, it is popular.

Well, time to pack for a trip to Tampa.....thought of seeing if "techrmom" was free, but then I have to be in Vero tonight, so not enough time....Labelle on Weds...why does this happen??? Sit on my b...ttt for weeks and then all the travel bunched up...oh well. At least I don't mind driving....don't have 'puter with me so there will be lots of posts to catch up on...

Maybe I will take a cruise related project with me and I can watch the game.
