Irene, you can stand by your PO Box because I mailed you something today. I hope they are still fresh.

Unfortunately, we have had the need for a RMH. It was in 2003 in Roanoke, VA. DD then 6 had a strange staph infection that caused her airway to close up. It happened all of a sudden and she was helicoptered to the children's hospital. My in-laws came up in the middle of the night to be with us. The staff contacted RMH and found us a room. They were amazing! My in-laws and son had a huge room and they offered free meals. My husband and I spent the week at the hospital, but it was a God-send to our family. They charged very little and provided free toys, books, and games to my son. If your choosing worthy causes to donate to, choose RMH!ohiominnie said:Having worked in an ICU at a Children's Hospital, I learned a lot about the RMH! We had parents of babies staying there all the time. It was (errr...IS) a wonderful place...where they can be close enough to be called if necessary, but not RIGHT there in the room getting NO sleep or down time at all.
Our Children's Hospital just built a big new one. Looks great from the outside. Thankfully, I've never had any reason to STAY there!
