We've surprised the kids twice with trips. Once to WDW. Once on a 3 day DCL cruise. Both times are memories I well never forget!! Their reactions were priceless!!!!!

Julia - I don't need anything from you for the Navigator. The inside will have names and cabin numbers but not the pictures. One side will have the listing by cabin number (high to low) and the other side will have the listing by DIS name (using one DISer per family). Just an easy way to find a fellow DISer if you are on excursions together etc.

Great so that means you have my cabin number - couldn't remember but knew you weren't putting pics in but need to send it for the site.

Does mark have the scoop logo with the writing in black???

You know what a zip tie is. It's nothing DCL, DVC, DIS related at all....

It's these:

zip%20tie.jpg

That's what I thought after I posted, DH calls them cable ties and his guys use them for work.

Ohmy goodness! You are just as bad as me! LOL I was thinkin we would tell them about the WDW part on the way down, and then on Sat tell them lets go see the ship leave....haha...who knows

We are driving down to Weston the weekend before so I'm sure they wont like to get 'lost' for another 8 hour drive!!!

Maria - tell him not to worry. It really won't be like we are all joined at the hip. The DIS meets are short times just to get everyone to meet and get to know each other. Mark and I still had plent of time as a couple. One of the reasons we booked High Tea - something we enjoy as a couple.

When i played LRC with Karen on the 10 day it was a sea day I believe and I was just walking past the promonade lounge. Stopped to say hello and they were playing so I joined them for a few rounds.

That to me is the fun thing...just running into friends all over the ship.

Yeah - a top with Maria, her DH, and Karen!

That's exactly how I feel. It's so nice to be in a strange place and be able to see a familiar face (even if we just met). I guess we're just different people. Thanks Mary.

Yup, I can see it now....

"Augie, this is Mike"
"Mike, this is Augie"

And they stand there and look at each other and wonder why in the world we're forcing them to meet!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You are SO right. Maybe they will prove us wrong. :confused3 Time will tell.

Maria and Karen please don't leave my DH out of this, he is the same!!!

Don't worry, we won't. I can see it now...a bunch of DH just standing there looking at eachother not doing or saying anything. :lmao: :lmao: Can't wait.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:
Happy Sunday!

I use them for work. And hooboy do I have the work this weekend! One of the main utilities a laundry/drycleaner needs is compressed air. And for a place on the scale of the one I'm engineer at, http://www.zengelercleaners.com , it's a big deal. And because we run 6 days a week, My only window to replace any vital equipment is Saturday afternoon/Sunday. So I have to deal with things like this:
comp1.jpg

This is the old setup. To give you a sense of scale, the air compressor on the left is a little under 3 ft tall. it draws almost as much power as an average house to run. We used to have two of those, but the one on the right(behind the green beam) is a temporary replacement for one that catastropically destroyed itself.

comp1a.jpg

The same room as of last night about 9pm. I've removed the temporary one, washed the room down a bit and reinstalled the one that used to be on the left into the spot on the right. That thing has to be at least twice or three times my weight too so it's not easy to move around either.

comp2.jpg

Now this is what's getting installed today. The ones pictured before make an inordinate amount of noise when they're running, this model will run quiet enough that people will be able to hold a normal conversation standing right next to it. Which is good because that doorway on the left is my office/workshop, which is right next to where the air compressors are. This little bugger runs a little over $10k, and does draw more power than the average house (125 amps), so I have to run new electric to power it besides just making the connections to what's there.

The above is why I tell people one of the main focuses for a vacation for me is to rest and heal. I mean that literally, to a point. It's a rough job sometimes.

And that is probably a REALLY good thing. It definitely makes for a more "normal" marriage. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually, Mike will be fine. He'll be reserved about toding it prior to the actual get together, but will have fun and will talk and laugh and then end up saying afterwards "that was fun."

It's just beforehand that I'll get all of the questions...
"now, who exactly are we meeting?"
"now, how exactly do you know them?"
"how long do we have to stay?"
"why are we doing this?"

But then he'll go and have fun!! Go figure!!!

WOWIE! That is some set up!! What exactly happened when the compressor catastrophically destroyed itself? Was there an explosion? Did you have to follow the "in case of fire" arrows??

That's how Mike is. He gets away from the crying kids, the bustle of the office, the politics, the endless paperwork, and the stress of being sued for everything he does.

Our trips are what keeps him going. (I always thought it was my cooking, but I guess not) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
