Cruise question...cruise question

For people that are staying near the port on Friday night, how far is Grill's from the Radisson? Can we walk there? I'm thinking of either dinner or breakfast.

Raddison has a good breakfast buffet and it is included in our reservation it gets you prepared for the cruise. Not sure where the Grill is.

Hi everyone, I haven't taken the time to introduce myself yet because, like Jeri, I realized I'd better get things booked!!! I've been working on our pre-cruise night stay this morning so I though I'd share what I found out (which isn't much) for Jeri and anyone else..........The Radisson has a std room for $149 smoking only. The AAA rate is already booked. They also have a whirlpool suite for $179 which you could request nonsmoking. I just don't want to spend that much when we won't have much time to enjoy the place. Ron Jon's has a studio for $210 and a 1 bedroom with a balcony for $275. The Country Inn doesn't seem to be taking reservations yet. I did leave a message asking them to call me. The Residence Inn is either full or their not taking reservations. I haven't been able to get a clear answer on that. I'm giving up on this for awhile.

I did a lot of searching around for air - we're taking the scenic route on the way out to get a better price I've got cars booked (one before and one after). I've got a few price scenarios worked out for our stay at the parks - now have to decide which way to go (basically on site or not). Have any of you stayed at Windsor Hills?

I guess I still haven't introduced us.........we're from Arizona. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We were on the Magic back in '99 before there even was a Wonder. We were on a West Coast Cruise last summer with a great group of DIS'rs! My DH is Alan (official documents say John ), Shane is 16, and Bryce will turn 14 May 30th (Costa Maya day if I recollect properly). Mary was kind enough to add us the website a few days ago. What a cool idea

Glad your joining us. It's a terrific group of cruisers and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

We're driving down from CT and should arrive some time on Friday. We're booked at the Holiday Inn Express.

I think our plan is to go to Zachary's Friday night as we enjoyed the food there last February. I have no idea about our breakfast plans...Grill's looks like a good option. I'm going to check to see if I can find an online menu.

I am Karen, dh is Mike (ohiomickey, but he's rarely here...something about him having a REAL life.) dd is KT. She'll be "almost 12" at cruise time. ds is Nick...he's 9. This will be our...I think....8th Disney cruise...4 day, 3 day, 4 day, 7 day, 10 day, 4 day, 7 day and now this one. Obviously we love them!

As for hotels at the port. We've stayed at the Hampton Inn a few times. The rooms were nice. You can walk to the ocean via a boardwalk. The continental breakfast in the morning is FREE and really BIG! No shuttle that I know of, but then again, when we've stayed there we've always had a car, so we didn't investigate that.

Sherry! And for the info, that is so cool of you. This is our 4 DCL cruise (3 day, 7 day, 10 day). We being DH and DD who will be 7 at cruise time.

One of the reasons I have not finished plans is previously we stayed a few days at the park before the cruise. This time I am thinking we will stay a few days after the cruise.

I promised to take DD to see the Shaggy Dog in a few minutes but the rest of the afternoon will be sorting out the details of travel pre/post cruise. Thank you very much again for sharing.

Well -- back from MIL's and loading up the rest of the stuff in the truck. Ashley wanted her two twin beds, so we will be giving up her stuff and using the stuff grandma had. Now that means I have to go out and buy stuff for 2 twins instead of the full bedding that I just bought her new last year. Oh well

I have so much extra stuff right now that Charley and the kids claimed that grandma doesn't want anymore. We haven't even moved in the piano and the china cabinet yet. Where am I going to put all this stuff???? I am thinking after I come back from Orlando in a couple of weeks, I need to think about a yard sale to get rid of some junk.

My folks will be here in a couple of hours, so we may run up to Target and check out bedding. Fun, Fun.
