Do your kids know about the cruise yet? I want to get them writing with Jake (5th) and Katie (3rd). Jake's written Courtney a few times and seems to be interested in it. Look forward to hearing from you and the kids.

Maggie was on the list when we arrived at Space Camp (crisis averted)- checked online Visa statement before leaving and it was credited this morning so, she was in - or, at least I'd have the credit statement to back up my "proof" since they didn't send a confirmation for her.

I was really impressed, one of the counselors called them by name even before I could say their names to check them in...She remembered them from last summer's camp, their first at the Space Center....

Goodie!!!!!!!!!!!!! A TOP With SPACE CAMP - I wanna GO!

hope they have lots of fun, and learn stuff too!

Extra pdfg :wizard:

Hi Sharon -- I have the resv. for Palo on Thursday and Laura has one on Monday. We were hoping someone else could get one on the same day so we could all go together. It looks like that didn't happen. So, maybe we can change one on board or something. If I go I will probably stay with Thursday, since we have early seating and I want to have enough time to get to the formal night on Monday. I believe Thursday nights is the semi-formal -- right?? Anyway, just let me know who wants what.

At least we do have both days as options for whoever is interested! I would think there will be availability when we board, but who knows?!! :confused3

Cute as they are - time to say goodbye to the Stingrays. For anyone else who wants to switch the new name is pdfg.jpg

So much for DRY cleaning. What ever happened to truth in advertising?????

Doesn't make much sense to me either. :confused3

Weell... One thing I would say on that, the thing to avoid are the cleaners that push the 'eco friendly' or 'greener' or some other over the top ecology friendly stance. I know that sounds bad, but..........

They are more than likely using experimental processes that yes, some do involve water with a bunch of soap additives that are supposed to prevent shrinkage. My personal recommendation is look for ones that are using a petroleum based cleaning process. It's the safest, least harmful to your clothes, and the least potential harm to the environment, if you're worried about that. I'd more be concerned about how the cleaner uses the chemicals at his disposal than the chemicals themselves.

Even drycleaners still using the cleaning solvent with a bad rep, perc, arn't all bad, it's more the fault of the people operating the machine than the solvent itself. A good working modern cleaning machine shouldn't leave strange odors or cause any kind of release of the solvent, unlike what the news 'in depth' reports would lead you to believe.

That's my .02 on it.

Stacey - I asked Mark about dry cleaning and he says that yes some of the ways could cause a garment to shrink. He says some of the newer forms of dry cleaning can include water which could cause shrinkage.

I'm actually glad to hear this. I didn't want to believe that I had gained that much weight in just a week!
I will now be forced to lose weight, so that I can at least wear the dress in September.
