Took the girls to a b-day party this morning. There were a few straggler moms at the end of the party ... me included. The dad says, "Do you drink beer?" I said yes. He said "OK. I'll send you home with a case of beer." Not sure who he works for .. said he has 3 or 4 states. Sent me home with either a Jap. or Chinese beer ... can't remember. Sent another mom home w/ St. Paulie's Girl.

Now if I'm correct...we 1st time DCL cruisers can book our excursions, etc. this Sunday night at 3:00(really Monday morning)? Is this right? I need to get my ducks in a row and ready to book.

Has anyone booked the Dolphin excursion on Costa Maya? Is this available?

These are the excursions WE are interested in. If anyone has any info on them, please feel free to share. Or, if you have one of these booked, what time are you booked for? I have 2 boys = 10 & 6 years old.

I read somewhere on these boards that DCL was only going to go to Coz for the double scoopers. That's us? Has anyone else heard about this?

She is going to Regionals without question. Every State gets to send a percentage of gymnasts based on it's State Qualifying Scores. Florida had approximately 250 gymnasts qualify (the most for any State in Region 8), so approximately 100 girls will go to Regionals. What Lisa was trying to qualify for was the Top 8 in the State who become the Team that represents Florida against 8 members from Georgia, 8 from South Carolina, etc (North Carolina, Tennesse, Alabama, Mississippi & Lousiana). Florida's team usually dominates the Regional Meet, so representing Florida is the toughest Team to qualify for. They announce the team tonight and so depending on if anyone beats her all around score today determines if she is on the "select" team or not.

Well, the Regional Team was selected. Lisa did not have a strong enough score. The lowest score taken was 37.375 and she had a 37.225.

The Coach called us and was disappointed as well. It is tough when so much is riding on one meet. Jim had made a bet with the Coach last year that if she could get Lisa's to Regionals (her score last year was 35.5 or so at State) Select Team he would pay for Lisa, Coach & I to go on a weekend Disney Cruise. I don't think he thought until recently that this was even a possibility. Lisa has had a good cry and feels like she disappointed her Coach. I am sure her Coach is not disappointed in how Lisa competed. She still gets to go to Huntsville, AL to complete against girls from the other States, she just won't be representing Florida in the "Premier" Event. (And, she so loved the leo and warm ups she would have won if she had made the team - pink & black. They sized her after her meet in case her score was strong enough to go.)

Thanks for your prayers and Pixie Dust. I will let you know what time Regionals are in April when Coach is informed.

Thanks for posting - we are all sorry that Lisa will not be able to represent Fla. but she still is able to go, and that is hard, being Florida's team is so strong. She was close, but,,,,that does not help I know..
