less than 300 posts to go and we'll be the #1 thread on the meets forum! :cheer2:

300 - we could do that in a night - assuming 'puter stops being so slow. And it is not just the Dis....what is going on out there????

I, too would prefer Grand Cayman over Coz....We'll see what happens - but, then again a lounge chair on on the top deck or a a lounger in the rainforest sounds really good just about now without caring where we go...

Can I start now......along with Karen's suggestion earlier !

All this planning talk made me think about our first couple of trips to DW. Diana is the planner in that regard and had everything all planned out. It was fun, but a bit much. Frankly, I enjoy DW more these days with AP so we can just come and go, not worried about hitting all the rides or attractions. Just the ones we like the most. If those are crowded, we come back. Much more relaxed!! :thumbsup2

Yes, yes,,,,,passes are great....and so are Fla. residency rates. Do I really need to wait until April for our next trip?

Hence the annual Mom & daughter trip. Going with Dad gets a bit TOO relaxed sometimes.

Maybe if I start now, I can grab a TOP?
Now the 'puter works the first time..... :badpc:

Actually, it is the server or network, not the 'puter....:nicepc:
Let's see if that is a real smilie!

Our trips to WDW these days are much more relaxed than the first couple of trips. Now that we have DVC, we know we will be back. We don't try to get everything in on every trip. Of course we have only been about 12 or more times now. I always do so much planning. I have a notebook all set up for this trip, index divided with all of the different info we need. Once we get there, we really just do whatever, except for any meal reservations we must make it to. We usually try to throw a few late nights, but we rarely do the early early mornings any more. AP's are also great!. After ours expire in June, don't know when we will go back.

I've noticed it's running *slower than usual* today too!

Trying for a TOP. If I see "page not found" one time again - arrrgh!!!!
Not just on the boards, but all day at work, very frustrating!

But thanks for setting me up for the TOP...... :cheer2:

Pam, funny you should say this. When we went to WDW the first time as a FAMILY, I compiled everything into a "Binder". Well..I told my neighbors, who by the way don't PLAN anything, and now I can never live it down. There's always busting my chops about it. I, too, had the index dividers and it really kept me organized. But, I had every day planned and it called for us to go to Blizzard Beach on a certain day. That day came and it was the coldest day of the week that we were there. I learned a valuable lesson that trip. Planning is GREAT, being organized is FINE, but flexibility is the only way to go on vacation. Live and learn.

I usually use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of our plans and priority seatings. The longer we have DVC the less I tend to plan. However last September I learned a lesson when I overbooked us on one day. We were meeting a friend from the 10 day in the morning to do Soarin'. Then meeting up with Patty to get Scoopie and have lunch with her and her family, Irene and Sam and Amanda and her family. Then to meet up with a fellow cruiser from the Member Cruise (which we were sailing on the next day) and to the Bon Voyage party DVC was throwing for us. We were wiped half way through lunch. Never did manage to see Patty because she was running late. Luckily our friends from the Member Cruise not only came to our hotel (we were going to go to theirs, but they also gave us a ride to the party. We didn't stay long. So while I loved meeting and spending time with everyone that day I learned that 3 events with no down time in between is not good for us. :)

We had a good time at JB's but Jim, how come no warning about rock shrimp being out of season. We had blue crabs instead, very good, but not rock shrimp. I know, it was my fault that I passed on the rock shrimp last trip. We also had the veggie appetizer - yummy - steamed veggies, with cheese, and crab meat. yummy.

:sunny:

I never knew that and guess I just learned something new. Now the question is will they be in season in May?

Need to find that out before a bunch of DISers go to JB only to get a a bad attitude and new rock shrimp.
