Mike has tickets for Daytona Club starting on Thursday. To bad he did not have them today because we sure could have use them.

We had no plans of being in there... we just happened to run into Ray... good timing- or we wouldn't have stuck it out until the postponement announcement! We'll be back there tomorrow, but not under the big top...

Woohoo! Just received email confirmation from David for the Mayan Experience! We're very excited about that excursion! Now if only the dolphin excursion will open up for the cruise (at Cozumel)-- our vacation will be a dream vacation. LOL

:) :) :)

Try some Dawn dishwashing detergent and then wash. Works well.

Look at this site.
Kevin? Is this you?
Okay it's settled.. I definitely married the wrong man. Shoot, and you aren't even scuba diving together so you can give him some pointers on how to be a good helper with the clothes. LOL
Okay okay.. truth be told I don't LET him wash clothes- but that's because he's ruined clothes before. If he knew how to do it RIGHT... I'd let him. LOL

thanks for the tip- will try that! There aren't too many shirts that fit me that I like (that will change as I lose weight... down 10lbs... so much more to go LOL) and that was one of my favorites! *wahhhhhhhhh* I will definitely try this and going to read the link too.

What does HH stand for?

We are watching the speed skating, it has been so long since I skated and couldn't imagine going this fast!!
Tivo is set up so tomorrow we can start programming.
Neice has gone home, she came over for a couple of hours so DB and SIL could go out, she is a cutie.

Hi all -- busy day, had to work all day today. Just logged on to see what was happening here. Looks like there is a post on the main cruise thread now that even the march 25 DCL isn't going to Cozumel. Has anyone heard what is going on that DCL hasn't returned to CZ yet. I just wonder where they would send us if they are still not going back to Cozumel by our cruise time. Anyone have any thoughts??

My guess is that if they still didn't want to do Cozumel by our cruise time is that they would send us to Grand Cayman. Just a thought and something I'd rather do. :)

Pam, I was just wondering the same thing. Ofcourse we have a bit more time and it's encouraging that even shoretrips changed their dolphin thing from June to May recently... but that really doesn't mean for sure the DCL will port there.
I'm wondering also because all the other cruises are going to Costa Maya instead of Cozumel- but our cruise is a special one already going to Costa Maya (ofcourse) and so what then- double castaway cay, double Costa Maya? eww
And also Cozumel is where we have booked scuba diving for DH. If he doesn't get to scuba diving on this cruise (barring bad weather causing our schedule to change, ofcourse.. can't control that) I doubt he'll ever take us crusing again. It's the whole reason he agreed to it (well that and he'd prefer the cruise over another trip to WDW... but the scuba diving was a huge draw to him LOL He would not be willing to pay this much for a cruise without the scuba diving in addition to everything else- yanno?)

Is there scuba diving on Costa Maya? I don't believe so on Castaway Cay...

We did Grand Cayman on our last 7 day cruise in 2002. We did the island tour (turtle farm/Hell along with Stingray City) Had a good time, but honestly, I don't remember that much about the town itself. We didn't do a lot except go into the Hard Rock and the Del Sol store. I might start looking at Grand Cayman excursions to have something picked out in case we don't go there.

Someone had an interesting post about why they thought DCL wasn't going back there yet. Something about not enough tenders and the bigger cruise lines were controlling the tenders since they have more ships visiting there. I don't have a clue, but I wish I knew. I hate having things changed last minute. At least Disney is letting the people in March already know they are making a change in ports

So they are letting them know more in advance now? Because I just read a post where someone was surprised with the change 2wks before crusing (2/25/06). I'm not sure if them letting people know sooner than that is a good thing or not. :(

Grand cayman instead of Cozumel would probably be okay. Will have to check to see if DH can dive there though! I think I will do like you said and start looking at Grand Cayman excursions. Surely they won't take us to Costa Maya twice?!? Not sure how Grand Cayman works on the schedule day after Costa Maya though... they wouldn't change the entire schedule as far as CC days and at sea days- would they?

I'm getting ignored on the main board... so maybe I should just post it here where the nice people are that will help me? LOL

Just curious on some timelines of things on the cruise- it's quite hard to make reservations for spa treatments &/or excursions when I don't know if it's going to make me miss a meal or miss the only other things I for SURE want to do (ie: bingo, show, meals, etc. LOL)

Okay so if anyone can help me with what is the normal time for these things- it would be greatly appreciated!

Breakfast time?

Lunch time?

approx. time of bingo?

time show starts (if you are late dining)?

What time is lunch on castaway cay?

Thanks so much!

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Sunday!

Jim & Karen - hope the weather is better down in Daytona this morning so they can get the races in.

It's cold, cold, cold. Low 40's at race time this morning, but sunny.

Sharon is not feeling well this morning, but we will make it to church. They will drive me up to the track and drop me off. I'll get most of the race in.

I can't figure out if I dress for the races and go to church or dress for church and go to the races. Living in DB, no one really cares. We are a special events town so we are use to weird dressing around the event schedule

KEY WEST? ;)

Shelley,

Mary has put together a FAQ sticky at the top of the main board. In it she has a link to sample Navigators which may give you a better idea of approximate time for things.

Good Morning all....

We have said our goodbyes and it is time for one more cup of coffee and then off to church before heading south. We will stop at JB's for rock shrimp, I put this down to a cruise related function - scoping out the mini-meet...then the drive home and check the temps to see if it will freeze tonight. It was below freezing last night and we were camping, but very comfy. We are outside the house, best campground hosts ever......It was a sad and long weekend, but it was a good one, if you understand.

bibbity bop - this was the hint I used for my first cruise, although a 4 day - print the navigators - I think Mary has them on her site. Then highlight the times for what you want to cover. Be warned that the times may not be the same for our cruise, but they may be close. You may find that some of what you want to do it at the same time slot, hence the reason to book another cruise.......but this will give you a feel.

Take care all, back to the routine Monday.
