I'm procrastinating picking up around the house...the kids just went to bed...
Maggie told her Jazz teacher today that she met Jordan because Jordan also teaches Jazz. I think Jordan made a really big impression on her...

Maybe they're watching something good on TV. Jay has the remote, and he's watching something boring. He actually made me change the channel last night from the Golden Globes to Antiques Roadshow! The nerve!

we still have to watch 24 from last night. Sunday night we fell asleep during the second hour (that was our travel day....the one where nick decided to puke at 4:30 am)

so last night we watched that second hour but couldn't watch anymore.

still waiting for mike to get home, but i'm about ready for bed now....

not sure i can keep my eyes open....even for keifer :)

Oh ... maybe that's why DCL can cruise in US waters. My understanding was that on the catamarans out of the BVI, we were dumping EVERYTHING! :crazy2:

Stacey, we went through a company called The Moorings.

Ang

I looked at The Moorings...but the contest/drawing that I entered was for Elite Island Yachts. Those are some pretty gorgeous catamarans.

But I think Jay wants to go to an island and stay for a week or 10 days in 2007. Maybe no cruise for us that year. We're looking at finally using our timeshare, and going to Turks & Caicos.

I have a 1/2 hr left on last night's 24 - John was a sweetheart and set the timer, without realizing that I had planned to tape it, tried and given up...

That's pretty cute. Too bad you guys don't live here, Jordan would have a blast teaching Maggie "extra" stuff.

I'm here. Again. SO not ready to begin real life again.

I'm not sure I know what "real" or "normal" is anymore.

We had the BEST serving team on our cruise. Got Nick raspberries and blueberries EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! :) And he only had to ask on the first night. Every night after that they were just there waiting for him!

Unfortunately one of them is leaving mid-April and not coming back until mid-June. The other one is leaving MAY 27th. The NERVE!! We tried to convince her to stay another week, but she gave us this sob story about getting back to St. Vincent's so she can see her little girls (ages 7 and 4)

Funny thing is....we did Nick's birthday on night #2 (he wanted it in Parrot Cay) and for some reason they did....

Happy Birthday dear Patrick......

And it stuck. From then on Nick was "Patrick." Got to the point where we didn't have the heart to tell them that wasn't his name. They probably got our tip envelopes that said "From the Patrick family" and thought either Nick had a lot of power in the family or that we are sick people naming our kid "Patrick Patrick." ;)

Just turned in my West Wing season 5 discs 1 & 2 to Netflix...Working on season 4 of MASH (yes, I've seen them multiple times, but just got the seasons 1-9 for Christmas. And just picked up Season 1 of "Everybody loves Raymond" at the library...

oh, and also from the library, Season 3 of "Rocky and Bullwinkle" for the kids - yep for the kids, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :teeth:

Stace,

There was a kid in my hometown (small little place)

His name was Anthony Anthony Anthony.

When he was confirmed he chose "Edward"

So he became Anthony Anthony Edward Anthony.

She helps teach the littler girls class that starts before one of hers, and she loves it.

Reminds me of the song we used to sing...."My name is Yon Yohnson, I live in Visconsin, I vork in the lumbermill there".....
Okay, so growing up in Nebraska was a little boring.......

At least we weren't singing songs about FISH HEADS.

o.k. speaking of "reel" life(I know you said REAL) - I think I have my movie character narrowed down for our costume party Saturday night...

Ginger Rogers - I have the wig now, and a dress but, I'm having a hard time looking at myself as a blonde...

Thought I might do Molly Ringwalde in either Breakfast club or 16 candles- it's scarey enough that I could probably put together her entire outfit of clothes I still have in my closet including my prom dress - if they'll fit is another question...

Then John came up with Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct....flattered but, no....

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Gotta love him for that, though!

I love the Molly Ringwald idea. No one (except me) is old enough to remember Ginger Rogers. She used to come to Omaha (although I don't know WHY) and when she did, she came to our church. My brother used to love to sit on her lap. He was 30.

Kidding! He was only 3.

Now, that takes some imagination for someone to actually think of doing that for all three names....

Although my brother was threatening to name my nephew "McCawley McCawley"-didn't do it - just driving my mother crazy - my nephew's name is Matthew...

my movie obsession is Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers - actually anything with Fred Astaire...never really a big Gene Kelly Fan...
my favorite movie is Breakfast Club - so, Molly would be perfect...

I'm reading Ginger Rogers' autobiography now...I'm having fun introducing Maggie to their movies...

Does she mention going to Omaha? Or my brother? :rotfl:

I'm outta here...Jared "needs" the computer.

Now see I'm the opposite. LOVE Gene Kelly, but never was a big Fred Astaire fan. Go figure!
