I miss my fireplace so much!!! That's one thing that I have not adjusted to in almost 3 years... we could put one in, but I know it wouldn't get much use... it's just too warm. So we settle for the fire bowl out by the pool... its not the same, but it will have to do.

I'll sacrifice the fireplace for the bonus of NOT having the endless months of needing to use it!!!!

We love our fire bowl or as I call it a patio fire. Never having had a fireplace in the house, I am not sure I would miss it. My girlfriend lights hers at Christmas and turns the A/C on to 60 degrees....Now that is just silly!!!

Atmosphere = $$$$$$

We have 2 fireplaces...one in our bedroom that has never been lit, and one in the family room that hasn't been lit in at least 6 years. We took the screens out of them and I now have multi-level candles in them that I do light on occasion. Almost as pretty, and not nearly as messy.

Irene...I've pestered (I draw the line at the word NAG) Jay forever to let me put in an outdoor fire pit! We have the perfect spot for it on the back patio.....
I can get away with doing small things w/o his permission...but he'd have my head if I did that!!

We've had the furnace on here. Even though the days have been nice, the desert nights are still chilly.

Hi everyone - not been posting much this week, trying to get well and get caught up at work (yuck). Also, have been doing lots of planning for our trip DCL/WDW trip this summer. We got the dining plan added through DVC, so I am anxious to try that. I have made dinner resv. every night (yeah). I kinda like knowing exactly how much I am going to spend for meals. We will just buy some breakfast stuff to have in the room with us.


Mark -- I need a favor. COuld you email me that cone design you did and if possible go ahead and take off the top part of the wording on the cone (the il pocho part) I am going to meet with the supplier soon to start working on the bags and I think so far the votes from people are that we don't have that part on the wording. Send me a pm when you are ready and I will send you my email address. Thanks

Uh oh, looks like I've missed something major over on the DVC board! You got the dining plan on DVC points? When I called Member Services yesterday, they told me that the dining plan would not apply to the October reservations. I almost said Duh! Better go do some reading...

Hey there! We're in St. Thomas today. Weather is beautiful and sunny. Warm breezes. Hard to imagine in a few days I'll be back in grey, ugly, rainy Ohio! WAAAAAA. I think I'll stay on as a crew member!

St. Martin was ok yesterday. Sunny most of the day but occasional showers. We didn't get caught in the worst of them though. Whew! Pirate deck party was moved inside (zoo in the Atrium) but we opted to see a movie instead. The food was still up on deck 9. Ate way too much....as usual!

Having a good time, all in all. My mom decided to have meltdown yesterday. I think it's lack of sleep and too many carbs (she's got diabetes). I had to put her in time out and today is better!

Sea day tomorrow. Another day to relax.

Hope all is well on the thread....will catch up when I'm at home.

Start small - with a portable fire pit...not expensive - can be moved....then when he sees how neat it is, perhaps a fancier model.....

WOW...if you dont go to the main boards much looks like there has been a change in the clubs for the 1st night http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=998798&page=2&pp=15 per this thread it seems you can no longer leave them the first evening at the clubs.

On Barb's site - the latest navigators she has posted (12/15) - for 8&9 year olds-says bring your parents and meet the counselors and explore from 7p-12am.

The 10-12's from 10/15 say Welcome Aboard games in Ocean Quest...no mention of parents - guess we'll have to get the scoop from OM
