Good morning cruisers!

Happy Thursday!

Lisa - nice of you to drop in. We wish you were sailing with us too. Yes we are still a very chatty group.

Glad everyone likes the design for the shirts. We could do an ash colored shirt if people didn't want white. It seems to look better on most people.

Last night a trip to Mother's and the grocery store for her and took down her Christmas decorations.....mine - still up - every single one (except the Christmas chine). Since it is not yet 12th night, I am still stylish.....guess we know what we will be doing this weekend....

We are waiting on the weather - big cold front predicted. I sure hope it does not freeze. The vegetation is very tender after the Storms, all new growth in November is not good if we get a freeze. If the temp drops below 40, we will have tos tart hauling in some plants, more if below 38 etc. This is a big chore if you own orchids.....and you also tend to brng in frogs and other critters, which the cats kindly find for you and then it is a mad rush to save them before the cats enjoyment ends or they dry out....

But, I will clean the oven and recycle the heat. (Self cleaning ovens are murder on the air conditioner - cross purposes...)

Well, best try to start moving....

Good Morning All - Didn't realize I was that late, sorry Irene. I have been up and doing laundry and stuff.

Ditto on Lisa's appearence!! Hi Lisa!!

I like the "not white" idea too! White just reminds me of underwear......... :earseek:

So the Boards were down for maintenance, I was going through withdrawal, the girls were bummed because they wanted USC to win, and NOW none of our quotes are showing up! Too funny. But at least we're back on board.

It's wierder that that; the quotes are still there, if I go back in and edit and save they show up....

Wee..... two TOP's in a row, no less!

And for anyone dropping in late, cut and paste time.
For the shirts, I have a shirt quality version of the sig logo already up on the website.

I'm for this. No one in our family likes white shirts. Especially after we've eaten and they become white with other various and sundry colors down the front!! ;)

Oh goody!! Just in time for us to get there!
We've rethunk our plans. We may be hitting Disney for a few hours on Friday evening instead of letting the kids swim in the Hyatt pool (brrrrrrrrr) :cold: Sailaway day is supposed to be 55!! Guess the kids won't be rushing on board to get into the Mickey pool!! So glad we're sailing SOUTH!

Then again, London, Ohio on Saturday is forcasted to be 33 degrees. 55 will feel like a heat wave! :)

There you go again,,,, fantasizing!! :rotfl2:

All the talk about shirts, and I forgot that the 'method' of my kids learning about our surprise, was the shirts that I had printed... they will probably want to wear them to board... I'll have to rethink whether or not we'll want shirts... :scratchin

(Don't worry, Maria... I'll figure it out before you need a final tally.)

I DO agree with the 'any color but white or lime green'... unfortunately, the shirts I ordered were white, but there was no choice. They will probably stay white for all of 5 minutes. :crazy2:

:cold: Not looking forward to this cold front... lets hope it passes quickly... now that I'm on my 3rd Florida winter, I have become waaaayyy too spoiled when it comes to weather! My parents, who are experiencing their first Florida winter ever, are laughing at us, and at the TV weathermen who make it sound like the second coming of the ice age. They're just glad that they are here while the snow is flying in Connecticut!

We hit 67 degrees here yesterday. The girls & I opened the sunroof on the way home yesterday afternoon. I like this warm weather but it's ending today. Our high tomorrow is 44 ... brrr!

I like the shirts too but am not sure how many we'll get. Maria, I'll let you know.

Pam, are we still thinking about the backpack/cooler thing??? I was really interested in that.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Ang - Great news about your new car! I love my Toyota, who would have ever thought I'd say that!

Since 1990 we have had Toyotas almost exclusively. And that's a lot of Toyotas.....his and her's for the last 15+ years.

Except for ONE vehicle. And I blame the terrorists for that purchase....it was 1 month after 9/11 and Chevy was having 0% interest and the American Pride was swelling. So we bought a Chevy van. BLECH!! I could not WAIT to get rid of that thing!!! I had to keep reminding myself to be thankful that I HAD a car, but it was tough.

Nothin' but Toyotas for us from here on out....well....*maybe* a Honda someday. :)

I sort of feel bad for not buying American but I guess not too bad. I've never owned an American car. I had a Honda Civic then an Accord (that we still have). When Bruce & I got married, he had a Ford. We got rid of that and bought the Toyota 4Runner. We've never had any problems with the Hondas or Toyota. I would have looked at Hondas this go 'round but Bruce said that they have too much road noise. When you look at Consumer Reports, that's the only negative that they have about all Honda models.

Beside, isn't the Sequoia built in the US. Seems I remember a plant being built in AL specifically for building them. A sticker on the window said that 60% was American and 35% was Japenese. It didn't say anything about that last 5%. :confused3

Yup, Sequoias are built in the US, as are Camrys :) Don't know about the other Toyotas, but I'll bet they mostly are built here. Hondas are too....there is a very large Honda plant about 45 minutes from us.

In the end, the money goes back to Japan, but, sorry to say, they build a better quality product for the price, IMHO. When I'm dishing out over $20K for a car, I want it to be reliable, safe and have most modern conveniences. I know in my Chevy van you could barely have a conversation b/c of all the road noise. The kids had to jack up their headphones for the DVD otherwise they couldn't hear the movie. I'm much happier with my Toyota. :) Never have had a complaint with them or our Toyota service department.

John's always loved his Toyota trucks, he currently has a Highlander - my mom is on her 2nd Camery since '88 - and sold the first to my brother who is still driving it at over 200,000 miles...

Now, my beetle on the other hand  - still didn't make it through a 5,000 mile maintenance check without something going wrong...it was in yesterday for a headlight not working (again) and the 20,000 oil change even though it's at 19,000 - they discovered the entire electrical harness needed to be replaced...

1st repair I have to pay for post-warrenty - the car is gone and I'm going with a Toyota!

How about Navy Blue T-shirts? The lime green should stand out against the blue really well.

Way to go Longhorns!!!

I think for the first time in 35 years - everyone in Texas -including the Texas A&M fans - united in rooting for UT! What an exciting game - I had to remember the rest of the house was asleep at 11:15 last night - it was hard to keep quiet. What an awesome game on both sides. Certainly lived up to all the hype.

I was thinking of a dark blue or black. I think the colors would really stand out. Two questions on that.

1) Would dark be more expensive and how would the transfer look on them?

2) Would everyone be happy being in a dark shirt in late May in Florida?

3) For ohiomickey only - what deodorant are you planning on using for this cruise? :rotfl2:
