Same dates for us! We'll be at BWI 12/17 to 22; moving over the WL for our last night on the 22nd; driving home on the 23rd

Laura, Sounds good. Anyone else want to join us sometime December 17-23. We don't get in until late Saturday night (staying at Hawthorn by the airport) and then move over to OKW to check into a Grand Villa Sunday morning. So excited to be staying in one.

We are commited to the Hoop de doo on Tuesday, 12/20 and the Candlelight on Thursday, 12/23. I have dinner resv. at Rose & Crown Monday evening and Ohana's Wednesday evening.

Port Everglades
Port Everglades is now open for vessel traffic 24 hours a day. Cruise passengers should contact their cruise lines for updated sailing itineraries. Landside operations will continue from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until power is restored.

Vessel movements are to be coordinated with the Harbormaster, who is working from a temporary facility and can be reached at 954-468-0101, 954-468-0102 or 954-468-0104.

All Port Department employees in all divisions and sections are to report for work at the start of their next regularly scheduled shift. If you have hired a contractor without a Port I.D. Badge, please call the Emergency Operations Center at Port Everglades, 954-765-4723.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will operate within the confines of the countywide curfew. On Thursday, October 27, the airport will close to scheduled airline passenger traffic at 11:00 p.m. with the last flight arriving at 10:00 p.m. to coincide with the curfew constraints.

On Friday, October 28, the airport will open to the public at 6 a.m. to coincide with the lifting of the curfew. The first arrivals are projected to begin at approximately 7 a.m. and the first departures at approximately 8 a.m. Airport operations will continue through the day until an hour prior (10:00 p.m.)

Thereafter, authorized airport hours will be adjusted according to County curfew hours. Airport employees, going to or from their place of employment, are exempt from the County curfew.

NO!!! Now if you remember correctly, I'm the one who LOVES Christmas... I just can't get used to sitting under a palm tree in 75 degree weather to watch a CHRISTMAS PARADE in broad daylight.

Where I come from, a Christmas parade takes place at night, when you stand on the side of a snowy road and freeze your you-know-what (or whats) off while drinking an undisclosed liquid out of a steaming thermos, waiting for Santa Claus to appear on that last float!!!! Now THAT's a Christmas Parade!!!!!

(besides... lineups for PO parades are so chaotic and disoranized!!!!)

Stacey, from Jim's report, it sounds like your cruise is on. Have a blast! I'm sure we'll be hearing from you!

All of this talk of Christmas ... I'm in no way ready for Christmas. I haven't even thought of Santa presents yet! I'll be one of those last-minutes shoppers this year.

MIL is here with us now. She lives in southern MS. It's amazing to hear her stories of still having to wait in line at grocery store. She said if you don't get to the store right when it gets restocked, then you're out of luck. She and her husband are fortunate enough to be able to stock up on supplies and are pretty much back to normal. But, she said that so many are not as fortunate as them and just have to live week by week. She still doesn't know if life will ever be the same on the gulf coast. SAD!

Kevin -- I actually like the location better than OKW, but not as much as BCV. We loved our room last summer when it looked out over Pleasure Island. I thought it was a perfect location.

THAT would have been nice!! We've never had that view before.

It just seems to me, that it harder to get to the rest of the park. Maybe just more out of the way. Not a bad thing, just my observation.
