Has any one else noticed that I may be losing my post as the early morning poster?

Irene has been sneeking in there!

It's going to rain today so we will spend the day finishing up Lisa's science project. Matt's should get done next week.

The big news for today is that Lisa is a reader at church. Her first time. She will have to use a stook to reach the mic. To celebrate, Matt is cooking a prime rib! I'm sure Stacey would have all kinds of smileys for that!

Your losing your spot man!! Some might say Irene did that on purpose.......


Good luck to Lisa today. Tell her to be careful with that stook! Don't want that thing to bite her!!

Good morning all! It's not so much morning anymore but oh well. I've been up since 7:00 a.m. DH & his brother are already home from running a 1/2 marathon this morning. It's a little chilly here in GA ... fall is here.

I'm doing a little better each day ... got a little depressed last night but am coping today. This is going to be a LONG healing process.

We all stayed up to watch the LSU/Auburn game last night. I was sort of in and out but did manage to see the last 5 min. of the 4th then OT for a win. SEC football is pretty exciting.

I wouldn't. It's non pressurized and cold down there, besides the handling will shake them up severely. Where are you flying to? Wouldn't there be any opportunity to pick some up in the airport or between the airport and the cruise ship?

YIKES! Guess I'll go to "Plan B".....a bigger carry on. We fly from Las Vegas to Ft Lauderdale, and since it's a private charter, and they have the transportation all lined up, I doubt we'll be stopping at any stores. I've also discovered that most airports have COKE. Gotta have my PEPSI.

Angie.....I'm so sorry you're having a rough go of it! I remember telling my mom after her surgery to try to keep telling herself how much better it will be in the long run! TRY to think about the cruise, how much better you'll feel, anything that will remind you that this is a GOOD thing. I know it's hard......hang in there!

Good Evening Cruisers - We are about as ready as we can be......Mother's house is secure and she is with us waiting for the storm......Sam is cooking a chicken and we are having the neighbor over, her DH is working tonight....I have delivered the neighbors their homemade pumpkin pies (with fresh pumpkin, I might add)......Neighbor made cookies. The flag will be the last to come inside....ok, maybe the grill. We still have not decided if we need to take apart our porch room and bring everything inside...it depends where the storm comes across the south. So, I have some time to read the boards.

Another long day here, too. Took the girls (we had Amber) to their Homecoming parade at 8:00....came home, did laundry..and packed. I had to try everything on one more time to decide which things I was taking. My feet and back are killing me.

Does anyone know for certain sure if I can put the plastic bottles of Pepsi in my suitcase, or will they explode on the plane??? There just isn't room in the carry-on.


I stilll have to pick out Jay's clothes and pack them tomorrow. Have to get it done this weekend, too much to do next week.

Don't worry - you will be back up as #1 tomorrow. I intend to drink all the beer in the fridge - as a kindess - afterall, we will lose power. The local media is telling us no power for the next century or some such gloomy forecast (Stace - I need smilies....for glummm).

Wheee - What an honour for Lisa - I am sure she was a delight to see and hear. Our poor paster was not "focused" today on the sermon....In the best of times, he is not our best preacher....I joked that his sermon wandered around as much as Wilma.....

I knew you would have a smiley for that. Perfect....just like Matt's prime rib! It was pretty good.

And Lisa did a great job. She did not freek out reading in front of 200 people. That is all that matter for the first time.

I actually have a serious DIVE QUESTION.... But I might not be around for an answer so I will need to ask again - anyway, the question is - WHAT TYPE OF REGULATOR DO YOU AND JIM USE???? OR RECOMMEND????? I know that Sam is chomping to buy one and I think the brand he is looking at is an Atomic (but we need to mortgage what is left of the house for that)

Anyway - what do you say guys??? Oh, and he did NOT take your advice - he ordered weight belts for snorkeling....

Private charter means they go where you want. Just tell them to stop at a store are you are not tipping. What do they care? There are plenty of stores between the airport and the port.
