I had the best weekend! Nick and Emmy were here. Schools were closed last Friday because of snow. My sis dropped them off Friday am. My house is the last on an access road. Our road is steep and impassable w/o 4x or awd. So I walked thru the woods to the main road and met the kids. Then back thru the woods, up hill, dragging little suitcases. Gee it was fun, laughing with the kids. Then we went sledding twice every day. Neighbor has a path in the woods and also the driveway down to my house. We decorated, my heart was in my throat watching them handle my Disney ornaments!

Diana, we watched Survivor too. You know I wouldn't miss that. We didn't watch the last part, the reunion. We all said the same thing, both Danni and Stephenie are FAR prettier without the makeup! I don't know why these gals don't realize that. And I thought they did their own makeup.... Of course, Jordan thought they were prettier with the makeup. And she's the one I was hoping would recognize that it isn't always needed. Oh well.

Yes, it was a wonderful movie. We all loved it. Now, I am going to have to go back and reread the books.

Does the Mario version of DDR have the mat? Sorry, not up on the latest toys. Shopping means clothes, make-up, shoes, and purses these days. Not for me, of course.

Looks a little better..... Jay and Jared did a great job making this. I was happier to get it as a Christmas present than if they had gotten me jewelry. I'd been asking Jay to make me one for YEARS!

I watched the Survivor finale last night, who was asking? All three hours of it. Was glad Danni won, but sorry they made her look so bad at the finale. Didn't look a thing like her, or Stephenie either. They need to fire the make-up artist.

We watched too, but it started late on the East Coast, so the kids had to go to bed before it was over. Matt recorded it, so they can watch it some other time. (Not this week as it is finals, then Matt is off to Diving in the Keys) I wanted Stephanie to win - oh well. I missed most of it because I was on the phone to my sibilings trying to coordinate our summer plans. My Dad offerred a trip to all of us to go on together, but trying to find a single week that all four families can go is not working - each week someone has something that they just can't miss. Michigan's school not ending until Mid June and Florida's going back the first week of August is really limiting our options.

I don't think I can leave it up all year....it would probably rust. Jay made it out of steel. Quite ingenius how they put it together, though.
It makes me so mad, we live on Ocotillo Road...and everyone has several of them....except me. LOL...but the only reason I've ever wanted one was so that I could decorate it like this at Christmas!
It does look very cool, in person, all lit up. Not so pretty in the daylight!
I've tried to talk them into transplanting one from the neighbor's land...but for some reason, they think that's stealing! LOL They're hard to find at a nursery, and then probably wouldn't live, anyway.

Well, I'm outta here. Heading out for the day. It's a lot like winter today. Cloudy cloudy cloudy.

I've decided that today is the day I pack up all the presents that need to be shipped, and the things that need returning. I hate shipping, have I mentioned that? It's a shame, because I do a lot of it. Tried to teach DD how to do it, and offered to pay her, but she's hardly ever here when I need something shipped. She's off at school or something. I think I need more coffee before I tackle this.

Sounds like a plan - I am wrapping and packing tonight as well.

Could ya'll please go back and WHITE OUT any Survivor talk that may be incriminating or give clues to who won???!?!?!?

This is definitely one of those days when we know it's winter. Cloudy and gloomy. But it isn't that cold...about 65°. Supposed to be a little warmer and sunnier tomorrow, but I think rain is in the forecast somewhere. Of course it would be....I'm flying soon...and we KNOW Phoenix closes down the airport with one little drop. They could learn a few things from New York, Chicago, Denver, Boston.....

Getting ready to take Jordan to dance. I never did make it to the grocery store today, so I guess we'll have to do that after we grab some dinner somewhere.

We're building some display racks for an artist. He was in today, and had one of his paintings with him to see how they'll hang on the stands. It was a little scratched up, so as he was leaving, he told Jay to just keep the painting. He sells them for $2500 and up. Not something I'd want in the living room, but Jared is going to be thrilled. The guy paints pictures of motorcycles and classic cars. This one is a motorcycle, so Jared can put it in his room.

That's a link to some info and pics of some of his prints. The painting he gave Jay is huge.... 4'x3'...and it's of the orange motorcycle. Interesting, anyway.

Picture, and even better, camera can do short movie clips. They added a totally new part outside just for the 50th with the nightime every 15 minute chime. Will put it up with good descriptions later on.
