Good Morning All - It is 60 here this am. Weird weather! My new door is in and I like it. Wish I could say the same for the storm door. 'mother ship' sent me the wrong door. After a 1/2 hour phone conversation they will be out this am to pick it up and then I get a full refund. Went to another hardware store and bought the door I wanted and the contractor will pick it up tomorrow. Almost finished with the house for this year!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning was the big weigh in.

5 pounds for me!
Sharon was the big winner with only 2 pounds.:cool1:
Her trips to the gym everyday paid off. Now we just need to lose the extra weight before our next trip.

I'd be dancing for joy if the only weight I had to lose before the next trip was 5 pounds! Congrats!

Welcome home.

Missed you on the day of OSU's BIG WIN!!!!

well, I had a fairly crappy day yesterday. Disney Visa is too slow to send anyone their Narnia pre-screening tickets....they were supposed to get them out yesterday but no one has heard. Either that or they have chosen to not send them to anyone with a DIS screen name.

Our paypal account was hacked. Out $116. Sent in a claim to paypal and hope they will get us our money back. In the meantime, I'm questioning the security of all of my other online financial information.

Stupid me...I left Nick's NEW suit in his room in a bag on the floor (door always closed b/c of the cat) Well, somehow the cat got in and got in the bag. I think then he had a seizure and snagged the (*&^$ out of the suit. GRRRRR. Kicking myself for not hanging the thing up immediately, but I needed to have Nick try it on and I knew if I hung it up I'd forget about it. Well I sure won't forget about it now!

So I'm hoping today will be better.....

Karen - so sorry to hear what a bad day you had yesterday. Here's hoping today is much much better!

Good morning everyone!

Jim & Sharon, it sounds like you had a WONDERFUL anniversary cruise. I'm jealous!

OHMinnie, sorry to hear about Nick's suit. Will you have to buy a new one?

I tried working from home some yesterday but just couldn't get motivated. I'll have to try a little harder today.

We wound up having to put our 10 year old Honda Accord in the shop yesterday. It rained all day yesterday and wouldn't start when DH wanted to leave work yesterday. Luckily it did start after 5-10 min. We had it in the shop for the exact thing in June. It was supposedly fixed! The guy said that their work was guaranteed for 12 months so let's hope we don't have to spend any more $.

Hope everyone has a great Tues.

I'm totally surprised you gained that much!!

I expected a lot more from the menu that you were talking about!! :earseek:

Back to reality, eh?

Congrats on the entry door!!

I'm actually shocked they didn't screw up both orders. THAT is my biggest complaint about the 'mother ship' folks. It's OK to go in and get stuff off the shelf, but if you have to order it........better go somewhere else! At least in my experience. :guilty:

Either buy a new one or lie and say "when I got this home I noticed all of these snags." That is so not me.

What ticks me off more is that I used a $10 coupon from Sears to buy it. Now I'll have to pay "full price"...although I'm hoping it'll still be on sale. :)

Ugh. I hate car repairs. I also hate the feeling of being trapped when you don't have the car at home that you rely on!

Btw, don't move to central Ohio. If that car won't start after a day of rain, you'll NEVER get it running up here!

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone had a great Turkey day. I was not able to get on the computer this past weekend. We went to Syracuse and were VERY busy. Shopping, eating, SU basketball game, Zoo, eating, and believe it or not..out to dinner. I don't even want to get on a scale. Although, I don't think it was as bad as I think. Hit the outlets on Black Friday. Not too bad. I go all by myself and move at my own pace. I was there around 7:15am and was out of there by 2:00. Got a lot of good buys. The kids really made out well. I even got stuff for myself.

Technical question!!!!!!

I used to get e-mail notification when someone posted and now I don't:confused3 What do I do to get it back?

Did I miss anything in the "fluff"? There's a lot of pages to go through. Anybody up for a recap?

I'll be back later. Laundry calls me.

TTFN,
Maria

That is exactly what the contractor said. The only time you get a good deal is if you walk out with the item. And the entry door isn't really the correct door but I am satisfied. At this point it doesn't matter if there is a $$ difference. And the lesson I learned is ALWAYS use an independent contractor you can trust, like HH.

A passenger in a taxi leaned to ask the driver a question and tapped
him on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab,
nearly hit a bus, drove over the curb, and stopped inches from a
large plate glass window.

For a few moments everything was silent, and the still shaking driver said, "I'm sorry but you scared the daylights out of me."
The frightened passenger apologized and said he didn't realize a mere tap on the shoulder could frighten him so much.

The driver replied, "No, no I'm sorry. It's entirely my fault. Today is my first day driving a cab. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years."

This just grabbed my funny bone.

OK, just one more. This is from my sister, a diehard Ravens fan.

Q: What do you call 47 millionaires around a TV watching the Super Bowl?

A: The Baltimore Ravens

Q: How do you keep a Baltimore Raven out of your yard?

A: Put up goal posts.

Q: Where do you go in Baltimore in case of a tornado?

A: To M&T Bank Stadium-they never get a touchdown there!

Q: What's the difference between the Baltimore Ravens and a dollar bill?

A: You can get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q: What do the Baltimore Ravens and possums have in common?

A: Both play dead at home and get killed on the road!

One thing I really liked about the food was the portion size. Everything was small, two scallops not eight, 6 oz cut of meat not 12 oz. Still plenty of food, but when it takes 2 hours to eat dinner you can feel full without so much food.

It also helped working out every day. I had a hard time running on the jogging track around all the walkers. :rotfl2:

Do you know how much business I could generate for HH if only he serviced my area?????

Yep!! Have to give you a BIG HIGH FIVE on that one!!

Thanks for the giggle, Sue....

Sounds pretty great, Jim. Glad you had a good time, great food and a relaxing time with Sharon. But, gee, I really am sorry about those 5 pounds. Not. Call me when you need to lose twice that much!! ;)

Thanks!

It always amazes me how little "professionals" know and how crappy their work ethic and quality controls are.......

I think between all of us, he wouldn't need another job! Maybe a good physical therapist, after we got done playing tug-of-war with him.........
