I have a 32 or 33 inch flat Sony and a 25 or 26 inch Panasonic. I don't think my family room is big enough for the Sony. The Panasonic is perfect in my living room. I saw lots of tvs in 'home' environment at Best Buy. Have fun shopping.

Did I get it????

Yee Haw! T.O.P. !!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

I wanted this TOP, but turned away - ever so little....pooh..

ok - now you have to answer this question.

Should I keep or cancel the reservations for the Castaway Cay snorkeling catamaran adventure???

Pros - if we do not go, we can snorkel on our own and then lunch and head to adults beach for tiki hut and a wee bit of snorkeling on the beach. And we may have time to see the new stingray cove???

But is we keep the reservations will we have a much better time seeing the marine life?????

May chance I will have to post on the general thread as to whether anyone has tried this????? The "book" says some liked it, some thought it was rough, but they allow kids as young as 5??? Is it a stampede??? Hum,,,,

By the way Virgil pirate: , thanks for all the help you are giving to the evacuees...

Sharon and I respectfully disagree with that assessment.

Sorry, but Sharon supports the idea of a liveaboard. She get's a week home alone and doesn't have to worry about if I am diving enough. Watching someone sleep, eat, dive, and then dive again is not Sharon's idea of a vacation and doing it this way is much cheaper than doing it on a cruise, $/dive.

Virgil...thanks for that website. It was very informative and I will be checking that out more indepth. The pictures on the plasmas is outrageous. I think the one we were looking at in Best Buy was a 42" Samsung widescreen DLP HD. The comparable sized plasma did have a better picture. It is a little scary to order a big ticket item like that from the internet, though. What happens if when you get it, it's damaged? Then, who will put it in for you? Especially a plasma. I don't know....I'm usually the little kid when purchasing electronics(the gadget guru, remember?), but I did hesitate last night at the store. Glad I did, cause I'm really confused now. I think the 50" would be too big for the room that we have. Ya know what they say...bigger is better...

Well, gotta do some laundry. I will be taking a ride to Circuit City this afternoon to see what specials they have.

Thanks again.

Maria

Check out Costco, if you have one in your area. Their return policy is unbeatable. If you are not happy with the unit, return it for a full money return. That's can't be beat....no reason for an extended warranty.

FYI - they don't sell extended warranties because you can just take it back.

I always said I didn't want a huge TV... we were in the mall one day, and Ray and Christopher wandered away while Elizabeth and I were shopping... 45 minutes later, we owned a new elephant-sized TV... (I haven't let them in the mall since.)

Way to go Ray! :rotfl2:

We are home. It was great meeting Amanda and her crew and Irene and Sam. We were running very late. A snafu with the debarkation held up many people. We got our luggage and the porter ran us all over the place trying to find the bus. We got loaded and were out of there by around 9:45. then to the airport to pick up the car, reload the luggage, now that was an experience!! Made it to the resort and they had assigned us in one of the buildings we absolutely Hate!!! Asked to be moved and got the Jazz Inn. Took in the bare essentials, including a wrong suitcase. Made it to EPCOT all hot, sweaty and stinking. Met up with the group talked for a few minutes, exchanged Scoopie and then made it around to the American pavillion before deciding we were exhausted and went back to the resort.

Second lesson - I think we do need to take duct tape on a cruise. It has rescued both DH and I when our boots let go during a hike, and you do not wish to be miles up with no hiking boots.....and of course, duct tape was used on the latest shuttle repairs....Into the case it goes...

ok, back to work.

I always take duck tape on my hiking trips and on cruises too!

Won't she be surprised to find I have a boo boo on my thumb and can't wash the veggies! At least the chicken is cooked, potato salad made and the kitchen is cleaned up.

Please come to my house. We just decided that we should feed the kids today. It's going on 3:00 and no food cooked yet today.....Hold on, Matt is starting to look funny at the cat!

Cancel them and go snorkling off Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will not see anything at CC that you won't see in your back yard.

In fact, our family will come down and take you out snorkling. Matt and I will dive it, Sharon and Lisa will snorkle it. Kinksdad will eat his heart out!

A big thinks to Sam and Irene. Based on our "laundry time" at Rose and Crown yesterday I picked up bags of rubber mulch. It works great for where I have it (behind the guest house under the pool equipment). The only sad part is that I bought it at the "other" mother ship!

It's about time for me to cook Lisa's dinner. Of course she has gym today. Nothing like a National Holiday to stand in her way.....but before I do that......

I think so! After you go diving with us in Cozumel and Costa Maya, the snorkeling at CC would be disappointing........ :teeth:
