Some how the thought of Matt and Lisa doing laundry is scary. After all, when Matt does the laundry he always loses a sock (he lost his cell phone this morning in route to the meet), but some how the sock end up showing up (he never did take his phone. It was home on the counter.)
This was the first time I saw how they did laundry in England. Sam and Irene were great instructors. It took 90 minutes to finish the first load. Some of the group did more than one load (and it was not me). I learned how to mix the whites and the darks (a half and half)

I hope the grass stains come out because some kids just can't keep from tumbling on the grass!

Saturday afternoon we meet with Ohiominnie and OSU fans. We actually had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Once people saw the OSU game on they all left.

Butch was there, but he did not have on a dress. I asked where the dress was and he was a little surprised we all knew about it.

We had a great time and the girls were a little sad to be split up again. They will get to see each other this upcoming weekend at Night of Joy.

Stacey, I forgot to give OhioMinnie the print out of the license plate. We left it in the car along with our camera.

The weather was really nice on Saturday night until we got together with Karen and then it rained.

We wanted to finally see Wishes and stood in the rain to do it. It was a great show, even without Tink coming down the zip line.

So did Matt tell you where to stand to watch Wishes? I bet he didn't forget THAT.

Sounds like a fun weekend. Where did you guys stay? Or did you commute?

We still have plenty of time to talk. Of course you know I don't make any of these decisions. You will have to talk to Sharon.
You and me both!

I just wait until the decision is made and then plan the best diving spots!!

Gotta admit, I like the idea of back to back, Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises!!! :lovestruc

I'll have to catch up on the "laundry" reports in the morning.

We've got a sick little girl here. I'm hoping that she'll break her fever during the night.

BIL, wife, baby and dog were intending to head back to LA in the a.m. The intent was for BIL to stay to get back to work while wife, baby and dog got essentials and headed back here. Now they're rethinking. People in the area have been calling to give updates and telling them to stay if they don't HAVE to be back. It's miserable with no electricity. Water is running but not drinkable. People have to wait in line for 2 hours to get refills on gas to power generators. We hope they decide to stay.

Good night all!
Angie
Our best wishes to all your charges!! :grouphug:

My laundry actually went really well today, too......somehow, just knowing that everyone was having fun doing laundry helped! :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the pictures of how it all came out in the wash......:rotfl:

Matt had us right in front of the castle on Main Street. It was not crowed because of the rain so it worked out great.

This time we stayed at Port Orleans, Riverside. This was our first time staying at that property and we will go back. It is an older property so the rooms were bigger than any of the new properties. It was spread out so you do not feel on top of everyone else like we do at the All Stars or Pop Century. It had several restaurants and bars so you do not need to eat at the food court, unless you want to. The room had a trundel bed which makes it easier for the 4 of us and even a small refrig (and it was not a mini bar).

Over all, we were pleased with this property and will change our upcoming Pop Century reservation over. It sure was nice sitting on the porch of Old Man' River Sunday morning listening to some blues as the kids were swimming. I just wish I had taken my Momosa supplies.

Matt drove us over and drove part way back. It was his first trip through Orlando on I-4 and he did pretty well. After all I'm still here posting! :cool1:

If you want that much Caribbean diving you should say "LIVEABOARD". Cheaper and more dives.

Since today is Labor Day I am going to make my kids Labor. We have to lay some rock/mulch around our pool equipment and replant some trees.

Since it rained 3 inches last night I'm sure they are all laying in bed hoping it will rain all day. Not a chance....I see blue skies.

We got to meet Amanda and Irene today. Patty - sorry we missed you! We had to leave to get over to the Member event.

AND HEDGIE _ you met HEDGIE - Don't forget HEDGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, if we MOVED there, we could all go to all the DIS meets! I mean, laudry meets. Sounds like a fun day! Are Irene, Sam, and Jim still in dryer cycle?

Irene and Sam and Hedgie needed to stop doing laundry and hit the road home. We had a grat time meeting all all May-Cruise friends.....We also "talked" about you guys that stayed home....

Virgil - hear about your helping the evacuees before reading the thread - lap top stayed at home this trip. As someone who worked Andrew in S. Florida - thanks.....

Wow - you all have been busy - and no summary this morning.

We too saw convoys leaving S. Fla. and heading north - Now here is a question - what is the "correct prorocal" on the road when you see a convoy coming in the other direction. I wave (to say thanks) but they cannot see that - Do you flash lights - honk horns ??? And yes, we were without electricty for 2 weeks and I can still remember the welcome PIKE Electrical received when they pulled into our neighbourhood.....

The mini meets were great - Mary/Mark and Bear met us at France with Dee....Hi - Dee - she says she s lurking on the board....We think she sould book now and budget later.....she has until March.

Amanda and her kids are fun...The kids were very well behaved at lunch, regardless of what Amanda may think, and they had to wait for 2 hours to see Patty and Scoopie - as the Ship was late docking in port. Amanda does a great job sheparding 4 youngsters,,,,I could not do it, I'd be in jail.....

Patty and group arrived - and I don't know how they were so cheerful after the drive, check-in and sheer exhaustion of a Panama Cruise. We must spend more time together as after the Scoopie exchange, we left to go to the DVC Party.

Unlike Mark and Mary, we left - the party was in Mannachins (ok that is spelled wrong) and the music is loud.....We are much more, sit under the trees at Rose and Crown, then we are wander in a dance club.

Mary and Mary - sorry we missed you for breakfast - I'll pm if you miss this....We were at 7:30 Mass and wiated for a bit outside, but could not find you guys......oh well.....

The min-meet Sunday was great fun......I never knew that it took almost 12 people to do laundry, but then I am not very domesticated myself....We decided after lunch, Jim was great - sent all the kids to play so that we "adults could talk", Matt stayed --- (Hi Matt are you lurking? Important post coming?)

And yes, we remembered to sort the colours before washing them in the afternoon......I think we must have done about 4 loads, as KikiKaren posted.

The drive back was better than the drive up....but it was sad to walk into the house, with no sentinel palm tree to greet me.

One cat was sick all over the bathroom, they joys of pet ownership.

Now, back to laundry before work....DH is already at the HD - gas cans are no longer available...Yeah, that's a good idea...sack 5 gallon gas tanks inside the hot garage to avoid paying $1.00 for gas..... and can you spell FIRE.

Oh well,,,,,not sure what you guys are meaning about the regular dis board. I gave up on that a while back...must look to see.

Glad that Matt managed to make the trip back - did you open your eyes?

We were at Pop Century. We like Port Orleands as well as Riverside, but love the rates at Pop Century....after all, we need to save our quarters for the laundry at Rose and Crown!
