Stacey, I think it's the drugs doing that to his eyes. He seems pleased as punch to be home. Purring all the time. Very comfy sleeping on the bed. The biggest concern is he went from scoopable litter to this stuff called "Yesterday's news"....can't have scoopable or clay b/c of the declaw. This stuff is like little twigs. If you're used to going in sand, and someone says now you have to go in twigs, it's a hard change.

Cute words or phrases the kids have said? I've kept a recipe box full of index cards with their cute things they've said or did. Started it when Nick was very young. Had to "recreate" some of KT's things. We go through it now and I'm glad we have it....I'd have forgotten most of this stuff.

Since we moved, our dog now has to be walked on a leash, as our yard isn't fenced... she gets 'stage fright' on the leash, and will only do what she needs to do for me... no one else can walk her... and she won't do it in our yard... she'd rather go over to the next street. Guess that's my new exercise program.

(God knows what she's gonna do when I'm in Sarasota next week... hold it for 4 days??? )

Nah... I sleep at home and DIS at the office... after all, when you're DIS-ing, it LOOKS like you're working... when you're napping, it LOOKS like your sleeping!!!

Well.... that brought back a not-so-pleasant memory! When we had Spice declawed, we had to put that in her litter box, too. She let me know in no uncertain terms that she would NOT use it........I was sleeping, she climbed on top of me (she slept on me, so it didn't seem odd) and promptly tinkled on me!!
Needless to say, I put the regular litter back in the box that night. It didn't seem to have a negative effect on her. At least she tinkled in the box from then on.

One last thing.....in case anyone is interested...Hallmark has a couple of cute Disney ornaments....kind of linked to the 50th. One is of Marching Band Mickey, with a Mickey Mouse Club "sign" behind him, and it plays the march. The other is of Mickey and Minnie, watching TV...."The Wonderful World of Disney" and the tv screen lights up with fireworks. I'm not using them as ornaments, they are on my desk. Too cute to be boxed up all year. The only thing that disappointed me...I wish the TV said "The Wonderful World of Color".....but I guess that dates me, doesn't it??

So...what's everybody doing today? The one day I get to stay home all day, and everyone disappears!

I still haven't studied up on the Treo...but I have the laundry going (the real kind) and have gotten a ton of little things done.
I made up a calender with the dates of the kid's activities and other instructions for while Jay and I are gone....looking forward to the days of just packing a bag and heading out the door!

NO CHRISTMAS TREES!!! No wonder your dog is grumpy! No house should be without a Christmas tree.

(OK... I'll be politically correct here and rephrase that as 'no house that celebrates Christmas should be without a Christmas tree... no wait... I take that back... I'm NEVER PC.)

We have gone on Christmas Cruises that last 4 years. Disney has plenty of Christmas trees, decorations, etc. I just don't have to set it up and clean it up.

(I stopped by your house to drop off the wine auction tickets one night after work, and your dear sweet puppy almost ate me alive. SOMEBODY forgot to tell me to leave them in the mailbox and RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
