Is school called off for y'all on Mon. & Tues.??? I think it's assanine!!! For those of you not in the great state of GA, our governor asked the school system to take early snow days to conserve fuel.

Weird. Heard they were taking tankers out to give 5 gallons of free gas to those trying to evacuate Galveston....
and that some motorists were pulling weapons on the tanker drivers and demanding full tanks.

ya know, ya try to be nice....

I told Mike that's why I like WDW and DCL so much....at least the CM are civil!

That just means more $ out of my pocket to send my child to day care for 2 days. UGH!!! I've still got to go to work.

Then, he doesn't want to cause a panic ... don't go top off your car, only get gas if you're on E ... blah, blah, blah. What did he do??? Cause PANIC! Glad I still have a 1/2 of a tank.

Yes I just found out that the whole state is off of school on Mon and Tues. I can understand why he chose to do this. If there is a gas shortage due to Rita, holding back the school buses "state wide" I think would help....but who am I? LOL My kids actually have their Saturday school this weekend to make up for the construction delay at the on set of school..so it will be interesting to see what they do with our schedule and if they add more Saturdays.....sigh...all I know is Iwill be leaving town on May 19th as that is what the calender they gave out at the beginning of the year stated....

There is ACTUALLY a discussion board for TUPPERWARE??!!!!!! Wow... and I thought we had an obsession!!!

Actually, I had an accounting professor in college who worked for Tupperware corporate (The Big Burp)... he talked Tupperware 24/7.

Have you not been to the Tupperware Center in Orlando? We did Jeep 101 at the center. Had a great time. Sharon included.

Do the majority of busses run on regular gasoline or deisel fuel? From what my dad said, it's deisel. In our area, I just don't think people are going to stay home with their kids. One mom I talked to said that she & another mom were thinking of going to the zoo. That's a 30 min. drive from here. I'm sure people are going to hit the mall, etc. Emily doesn't ride the bus so we will still be burning the fuel that we always do. I guess day care won't be burning the fuel in their van to pick the kids up in the afternoon so that's a little fuel saved.

Amanada, do you know how many snow days they build in to the schedule?

I just got up to get ready for the game. It's pouring rain here. See the "o" of
Columbus? I'm just south of that. So there is more on the way.

One night, as he finished his last beer, Joe's doorbell rang. He answered
the door and found a six-foot cockroach standing there. The bug grabbed
him by the collar and threw him across the room, then left.

The next night, the doorbell rang, and he found the same six-foot
cockroach standing there. The big bug punched him in the stomach, then
left. The same thing happened the next night. This time, he was kneed in
the groin and hit behind the ear as he doubled over in pain. Then the big
bug left.

The following day, Joe went to see his doctor. He explained the events of
the preceding four nights. "What can I do?" he pleaded. "Not much," the
doctor replied. "There's just a nasty bug going around."

Good Morning all....I finally stumbled home last night and all I wanted was a Smity's and yummy leftover turkey. However, Sam reminded me that I had instructed him (yup) to make sure I started to sew.....sigh!!!!

So no boards last night...I did finish the pirate costumes for our November cruise (yeah!) and some sewing for Mother.....

I had Banfi and did like it with chocolate. It was quite yummy. Guess I'm going to have to sit with Irene & try her Fairytale on the cruise.

Taking a break from sewing the 25 foot hem on my formal gown...well, it seems like a 25 foot hem....It is tafetta or some such fabric that frays with a full skirt. I was too cheap to let David's Bridal hem it - they wanted $100 - now I know why.....oh well, pinned, re-pinned. hemmed....zig-zagged and now turning under......DH escaped early....He is WISE, very wise....
