We haven't read HP either. Girls are too little and I'm not a big reader ... I know, shame on me! Although I do enjoy reading to the girls or better yet, having Emily read to me.

Now they look at a lot of that stuff and determine that it all comes out so that someone can make $$$. Pokemon sheets, lunchboxes, notebooks, underwear....someone is cleaning up on this phase. Same with the Ninja turtles when they were big.

But we would NEVER let them think that about DISNEY .

No, you are absolutely right, and I too have succeeded in getting that message through to my kids about "1/2 hour commercials disguised as TV".

Wow, you are good. Very close. Actually Udders and Putters is JUST the golf area. The whole place is a diary farm....the only one left in Ohio that can sell unpasturized milk (grandfathered in to allow it)

They now have a petting zoo, two restaurants, mini golf, a driving range, batting cages, and various and sundry other fun things. Plus they hold festivals of all types throughout the year.

HP is how I turned Alicia into a reader. I think it was the summer after 2nd grade, I bought the first book. I read a chapter to her out loud, and then she would read a chapter to herself. It was such a good story, she got hooked in fast, couldn't wait to see what happened next.

It was a long time before I could get her to read for pleasure, though, anything but HP that is. This summer she's been reading non-stop.

I didn't know Pokemon was big again, or still! Alicia was into that in 3rd grade, six years ago. She got invited to a boy's Pokemon trading party because she knew more about it than any of the boys.

We all read HP. Lisa is the slowest so she reads last. She has a hard time finding time for HP with her gymnastics schedule. Matt and Sharon don't let anything come between them and HP.

I have never used that site, but I do know that tropical waves are normal. I prefer to have smaller waves as it makes diving so much easier.

When you have a kitten that is only 2 pounds and he likes to sleep at your feet...don't be surprised in the middle of the night if you roll over, hear a "thump" and then a "meow." If you look down at the floor you'll see a kitty stretching and licking himself.

It's happened twice now. Poor little thing!

And poor Nick's allergies are flaring up....hmmm, wonder why. Today it was Zyrtec and Patanol eye drops. Considering Singulair. KT has already said that if we have to get rid of Mowana b/c of Nick's allergies she will NEVER let him live it down.

And I believe her!

I'm sorry, but this made me LOL....poor kitty.....
Megan used to blow up like a balloon around cats....then we got Spice, and after a while (not long, really) she built up immunities to her. Oddly, other cats would still make her swell up, but no Spice. And now she has two cats of her own. I hope this holds true for Nick.
