Oh, thank goodness! I am SOOOO glad that I'm not the only one who has to hear this from their mother! She has told me I don't know how many times about how my poor brother's kids have never EVER even been to D-Land...and here we are cruising, etc....
He makes good enough money....they just don't WANT to go! I think she expects me to give him the money to go....ha! Do you know how many years we spent, where our only "vacation" was camping?? We've worked hard to get where we are. Criminy.
And today she says "WELL...you can't come see your brother & his family....but you can take the kids to meet your DIST (yep, that's how she said it) friends at WDW??
And then go on ANOTHER cruise??" I didn't answer the WDW part, but I asked her if she wouldn't go, if she were given a free cruise, and she said "No...I don't like cruising that much". WELL THEN....why did you come with us last month???? (Free)
Arrrrgggghhhhhh....... Hang in there, Amanda...I did 3 1/2 weeks...and 3 weeks in Omaha with her while she recovered from her surgery....you can do it!! Sneak on here and vent. I say "sneak" because she had a cow every time I got online.
So now you know why I didn't dare come on the boards today. I was really afraid LISA would show up instead.

OMGoodness...we must have the same mother! Mine also gets upset if I get on the PC while I am visiting her home! Oh brother!

Good Morning!!!

We just got off the 7/2/05 cruise, and rebooked for May 27th! I'm not sure if I'll be able to read ALL of the post here, but DH (XLT800) and I wanted to join in with you.

We are a family of 4, from Tampa. At the time of sailing, our children will be DS (Steven) 14 and DD (Kelly) 11. Kelly is also a gymnast. (Didn't I read that Scuba has a gymnast also?) We LOVE our Disney cruises. The May 27th will be our 6th.

Does anyone else spend a lot of money on their pets? Sometime during the night we went to go camping and the next day when I came home to feed the animals, our cocker spaniel tore a ligament in her back knee. Well, they did surgery. MIL gets out of the hospital from hip replacement, dog goes in for knee surgery. Now she (the dog) has a big ole bandage on her back leg and a cone around her head (also the dog) so she doesn't bite the bandage. I can't believe that I spent my whole monthly paycheck, plus some, for my dog!

Just the fact that you felt the need to specify that it was the dog and not yor MIL that had a cone around her head, is exactly why I love this group!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not user fees exactly, but bandwidth. I mentioned that to Kevin when he was giving everyone the stick poking smilie from our website. As long as it doesn't get out all over the DIS, it should be OK.

Nope, not a problem. I don't have a website that I have to pay for. That's a free picture site....I don't think they know if it's been sent here...I don't know how that stuff works.

We don't mind friends using images from the site. In fact when Mark set up the Member Cruise logo he knew it would be used for months.

When we had the little moving DCL gif people we didn't know were taking it and using it as their avatar which means we were hit every time they posted. Other people took photos from our online trip report and put them up on their site. They didn't copy the photo and hosted it themselves - they took it as a direct link from our site. We were getting tons of hits and Mark had to track it down. Turns out it was someone from Japan!
