5/27/06 "Il pochi il fiero i blabbermouths" We *will* sail again Part 3

So who else on this cruise is rich besides me?? Apparently I'm rich and didn't know it! I have just been blasted by mother for being aggravated with my brother because he tells me how broke he is all the time. Yes he works hard, I understand that. But so do I.Yes, I understand that I am "blessed" to have what I have. But it did not just fall into my lap. My DH works very hard,(he is still at work now because of all the rain) and believe me it would be way easier for me to stay at home and be lazy than go to work. Yes he is supporting his wife and child. I am supporting 4 kids along with my DH's help. When times were tough, I didn't just sleep all day as SIL does...I went and got a J-O-B......so how can I feel sorry for those who won't help themselves?? How can I offer to help DB out, when I KNOW that SIL is doing nothing to contribute??? Am I being selfish??? Or just a ungrateful brat?? Ah These are the days of my life....see how much fun I am going to have with my mother for 3 W-H-O-L-E weeks...........................

Oh, thank goodness! I am SOOOO glad that I'm not the only one who has to hear this from their mother! She has told me I don't know how many times about how my poor brother's kids have never EVER even been to D-Land...and here we are cruising, etc....
He makes good enough money....they just don't WANT to go! I think she expects me to give him the money to go....ha! Do you know how many years we spent, where our only "vacation" was camping?? We've worked hard to get where we are. Criminy.
And today she says "WELL...you can't come see your brother & his family....but you can take the kids to meet your DIST (yep, that's how she said it) friends at WDW??
And then go on ANOTHER cruise??" I didn't answer the WDW part, but I asked her if she wouldn't go, if she were given a free cruise, and she said "No...I don't like cruising that much". WELL THEN....why did you come with us last month???? (Free)
Arrrrgggghhhhhh....... Hang in there, Amanda...I did 3 1/2 weeks...and 3 weeks in Omaha with her while she recovered from her surgery....you can do it!! Sneak on here and vent. I say "sneak" because she had a cow every time I got online.
So now you know why I didn't dare come on the boards today. I was really afraid LISA would show up instead.

I'm on two, Alliance by myself right now and Horde in a guild of Sierra forum moderators on Scarlet Crusade, and have another Horde on Argent Dawn, that I've been running since the game went live.

(I know, said I was going, well I really am now, just making a last sweep of message forums)

Oh the secret is out. Now we know why Virgil hasn't posted as much in the past couple of months (we've missed you). You've been playing World of Warcraft like Mark. I go into chat and people ask where he is. I have to tell them he's off killing things.

Erm, it's kind of geekspeak if anything. World of Warcraft is an online multiplayer game. You create a character, on either the Alliance side (elf, dwarf, etc..) or the Horde side (minotaur, orc, etc..), and there are many online game servers to choose from to start playing on, as the further your pc is physically from them, the less stable the connection can be, so the game will recommend the ones closest to you. And it is an entire world to play in, with quests, battle grounds, etc. I never thought I'd get hooked by one of these, but this one is far more addictive than I expected.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Scuba cards have arrived from the Y - along with International Scuba cards pronouncing DH and I as certifiable (well, we knew that) Scuba Opern water divers...Yeah...

Kevin - drum roll please -

now we need refresher courses.

And I remembered the year of my first open water dive. DH took me to see JAWS the night before...We stood in line, it was (like) opening night or something...

Congratulations!

Now we need to do some checkout dives. Let me know when you want to dive.

I am reporting in from Ft. Lauderdale this morning. Heading home tonight. Looks like I missed a bunch of fluff last night.

Congrats on getting to 11,000. Matt said he was going to wait for the next big one, 20,000.

We just got off the 7/2/05 cruise, and rebooked for May 27th! I'm not sure if I'll be able to read ALL of the post here, but DH (XLT800) and I wanted to join in with you.

We are a family of 4, from Tampa. At the time of sailing, our children will be DS (Steven) 14 and DD (Kelly) 11. Kelly is also a gymnast. (Didn't I read that Scuba has a gymnast also?) We LOVE our Disney cruises. The May 27th will be our 6th.

Don't try read it all - lots of fluff. Here are the highlights.

First to answer your question - yes Lisa the DD of Scuba Diver and Scuba Mom is a gymnast. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to meet Kelly.

Jim - Scuba Diver and Kevin - Tinksdad are our scuba experts. They set up private excursions for a scuba group if you are so inclined.

My DH Mark (MarkRG) is the button man and will be making buttons for everyone in the group to wear onboard so we can all recognize each other. That will come closer to cruising - right now he's making 153 for our DVC Member cruise in just under 8 weeks.

Maria (tiggerinNY) is in charge of the group t-shirts. Plans still being worked on for that.

We are all here to get to know each other and to have fun. We celebrate things like TOP's (getting the Top Of Page) in posts and milestone posts like number 11000 which we just hit last night.
