Ok, more laundry and die cutting today. Last night...late....my die cutter started acting up. I'm really praying it straightened itself out overnight! Maybe it was just tired, like I was! I do have a backup plan, it just takes much longer to do.

Good Morning All - Nick had his swim meet yesterday at a pool I belonged to 40 years ago. That really made me feel like I am aging!

And Nick has official permission from his parents to join us on the cruise!!!!!!!!!! He will be 9 at cruise time and just finishing 3rd grade. When the penpals start please let me know.

Well, looks like everyone started talking last night after I signed off. Oh well.

I tried the picture thing again here, but it looks like it is not working. I think I am challenged when it comes to this stuff. I will keep trying.

I tried putting it in the yahoo pictures. Is there another place to store photos in galleries or albums that I should try. Not quite sure what I am doing wrong.

I have two technical questions.....Mary, wake Mark up....

I finally figured out how to put a picture on here...but....they are of course, HUGE....how do I make them smaller?

AND.... Why is it that some of my pictures that are on disk, will play on the computer, bt not on our DVD player that's hooked up to the TV, or vice-versa? Also, some will play on the portable DVD player or the lap top, but not all of them all the time. WHat's the point in saving paper and space by putting pics on disk, if you can't look at them??

I sort the pictures and make directories for them based on when or during what event they were taken. Then I make a sub-directory that will contain the "small" version of the pictures. As Mary suggested, use a photo program to resize the picture to what you want. Most of the ones I use for my siggy are no more than 250 pixels wide. (I wouldn't make them more than 500 pixels for the boards)
I then move those smaller versions to our webspace which gives them a unique url address that is put in the picture tag so it can be displayed.


Your other problem is actually quite common and is one of the major problems going on right now in the format wars between DVD manufactures. Read this link for some help explaining the process hope it helps.

Maybe Mark will come up with a easier explaination......

I don't use Yahoo, so I'm not exactly sure but I think they want a password to get on there site. That can make it tough to link a picture, but try this;

Open up the site that has your pictures on it. Right click the picture that you want to post and then select properties. Swipe the url address (be careful to get all of it and the copy that in between the picture (little mountain graphic) tags and voila!

above is my try and it still doesn't work. Looks like Yahoo is doing something with the code, but I can't figure it out. Send me the picture at kevin@dkeddy.com and I'll post them on our site and give you the url for the proper links.

However, I have never used them. Maybe Stacey could share her experience with the one she uses.....
