OT here, but I was scrolling and caught a glane of my siggie and saw the pic of me, Steve, Mickey and Minnie...it reminded me of something I have been meaning to ask you all....AM I the only goofball who wonders what Mickey/Minnie or a particular character is really thinking about me when we take our picture??? I am pretty certain it is not all happiness and excitement like I feel when I see him/her.......anyone else wonder such things?

Ok isnt it enough that she us young, model thin, smart and cute??? Does she have to have a great job too???? Some people get all the luck!

And its funny... she had a 4.0 GPA, and was only going to do the job til she decided which grad school she wanted to go to... that was a year ago... now she doesn't want to leave. (Which is great... that is usually a pretty 'short-lived' job... it gets old fast.) To top it all off, she is one of the sweetest kids I've ever met... so conscientious, never in a bad mood, and more responsible than people twice her age. I hope she never leaves!!!

OK, serious moment. A question I'm afraid to post on the main boards anywhere. Has there been any news on the autopsy results about the little boy that died on Mission Space? My SIL told me today that she heard that he had a heart attack, with no prior heart defects. In other words, he was scared to death. I'm not sure where she gets her information sometimes.

That wasn't an innuendo!!! Was it?
I took it to mean that you used to go to the drive in movie to "cool" off;) Of course I'm a bit demented......so maybe I am the only one that got a giggle out of that :rotfl2:

Except that going to the drive in supposedly makes you "heat up". Other than that, I get it!

From what I had heard on the local news (Orlando), it was going to take at least a month to get the complete autopsy report back... I'm sure it will get coverage here once the results are in.

Diana, I have been on the lookout for info as well, and I have not seen anything else on cnn or excite....but I thought they had originally said it would be about 6 weeks before the results were complete? I also have been wondering if anything was ever again said about the person that lost their life on CC on the repo cruise . There was so much talk about it, then someone basically posted that it was none our business and we(the DIS)o stop asking about it...well then why post about it to begin with you know?IT would be nice to have some closire on both of the above instances

Never mind... post above answered while I was obeying the 40 second rule... and then it posted twice... arrgh!

aw comeone what did you really have typed in?? Curious minds want to know;)

Two things: Yes...I have often wondered what the characters are thinking...especially on this last cruise....I was the only adult waiting in line to have my picture taken with White Rabbit. The poor CM must have thought I was a loon!

Second: This is a truly sick thought...but we were talking about that little boy at dinner the other night. What if....and this is mean...and a stretch....but...what if his mother didn't want/like him, and she did something to him?? Stranger things have happened.

Ok a little character secret.....don't read if you don't want to know. Something that will make you go hmmmmmmmm

ok that should be enough spoiler space. Just remember that the gender of the character and the gender of the person inside might not be the same. Of course this isn't the case with face characters - I think Cinderalla is a woman, but you can't always be too sure about Minnie. :)

OK... I have decided that the teenaged girl who watches the kids once in awhile is NOT going to watch them again... she's going into high school. I let Elizabeth stay home alone for short periods of time, but not with Christopher (he won't listen.)

So anyway... last night, I needed a sitter for a few hours to attend a NASCAR function with DH... she comes over (with a friend... no biggie). I ask her what she's doing this summer, and she (jokingly, but in a totally serious tone) says, "Well, I went and got myself pregnant, and I bought a pound of crack cocaine". If I wasn't on my way out the door at that minute, with Ray waiting for me at the office, I would have sent her home.

Flash forward to 3 hours later... I get home, and there are cookies made... (we have no cookie mix, and no choc chips in the house). I asked my kids how they made cookies, and they tell me that she sent them to all the different neighbors to BORROW THE INGREDIENTS!!!!!!! (And oh, by the way, it was pouring rain.)

That is the LAST time she'll watch my kids!!!!!!

Oh my KikiKaren!

She's a neighborhood kid, and I know her mom pretty well... so I know that her 'comments' were in jest... but still... I am horrified!!!

It's also called an evaporative cooler. It looks like an air conditioning unit, and ours is on the roof. It has four cooler pads (one on each side) and water runs through the pads in a constant stream, as the outside air is drawn through the pads, it's cooled, and then vented into the house. They actually work really well and are economical, in low humidity areas.
Way to go there Stacey!! Very good answer.

We desert folks use the slang term Swamp cooler, because when it is not dry it can make the house feel "swampy". Kind of like Florida right about now......

It's not swampy in here... the weather station on the kitchen counter says that its 76 degrees and 43% humidity inside (pretty dry for us), and outside, it's 80 degrees, and 78% humidity... OK... I guess it IS swampy outside...

I don't keep it any colder than 76 inside... I hate A/C, but its a necessity, not a convenience here.
