Darn right I will. I'm staying with DD for the weekend, and you'd better believe that she and DBF are going to be eating eggs for a month.

And a T.O.P.!

The whole "I've got eggs in the fridge, come over and get some" situation strikes a cord with me. My dad has had chickens and turkeys for years. Even now, when he can barely walk, he STILL has chickens and too many eggs.

Gotta admit, they are pretty tasty!!

I thought I'd have an hour or two of peace and quiet after DH left for work and before DS got up. Well, that lasted for about 20 minutes. Why is it the kids can't sleep late during the summer, but you can't get them up on a school day?

Wow, #7777. Does that mean this is my lucky day?

Well, our's sure can!

After coming home from work the other day, I asked her what she had done; Read books and watched a little TV, oh, and had lunch! Not bad


at least she is reading.....

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS -

Wowy - it is still down here - Yippeee....But guess what they say for the weekend un-huh - oh, well. We have Palm Trees.

Post catch up today - Last night I was attempting to start my cruise dress since I cannot find any formal wear to fit - blah (guys can stop reading you get to wear tux's and rent them at that) How unfair!

EGGS - I love them - wish we were closer. The neighbor sold their home, and their chickens so no more fresh eggs for me. Sandi - bring a few for the cruise and we will ask Chef to toast them

GRILL - Amanda - I grabbed the closest web-site I could. I bet HD sells a version like that, their stock is normally made for them... I would try a HD and not an HD Expo, as Expos are more Up-scale - is $$$$$

ANNIVERSARIES My gosh, you guys are kids. DH and I celebrated our 25th with a vow renewal in Hawaii - how cool is that -- and then a Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's -- we went all out and yes, DH is wonderful abides my WDW addiction fine. He's not sure about you guys - syconut babblers though....

SCUBA - Ok, requests for new SCUBA cards with CMAS are in the Mail....Hope the YMCA comes through for me, mine is not dated.

Karen - PINS - do you want us to "steal", I mean liberate, I mean buy you some cruise PINS for the stockings.....I'd be glad to....

WHAT THE HECK IS ZEBRA DOME ---

For those that are confused, our Double Scoop no longer showed up on the D-website last night....Forgot who posted the note, but being the panicy (stop that Scuba) person I am, I called the Castaway line - Yes, it is still there and yes, there are still seats left for the next Grandma lightbulb!

I wanna see some stockings and garland hanging on that Jackalope in a few more months....Maybe some pumpkins first?

I believe Scoopie is checking our Alaskan cruising for us since we were talking about it yesterday. He's with Sue and her family on an Alaskan cruise. They left last Wednesday - don't know when they are due back.

Late start today- had to drop DD off at church so that she can spend the day (and night, and all my $$) at Wet-n-Wild. I had to laugh... the Father's Day sign out in front of our church just says, "Who's Your Daddy?" (I thought it was funny...)

OK... time for my morning powerpost before I get to working...

Karen, I do ... ate there last week and was terribly disapointed in the domes.

Glad its not just me... now the coconut tiramisu... THAT's a different story- I could have gotten my money's worth just eating that!!!

We are all so lucky that we have wonderful spouses that support our WDW addictions.

When we were just dating, Ray joined us on our first visit to WDW (I was 20... my parents were great- they took my brother & sister and I on cruises when we were kids, but never to WDW... guess I really can't complain). He was our 'tour guide', as we hadn't been there before... so I guess I can blame him for my addiction ... that was 17 years ago.

Do it!!!!! We have gone away without them once a year for the past 10... even if its just for a few days, it helps to regain some of your sanity... well, in your case, I don't know... this thread probably negates whatever gain comes from it... but seriously... it's good for you!

We encouraged DS to spend as much time in the lab as possible

OK- time for another DCL rookie question... see, we CAN get this thread on topic once in a while... at what age to the kids just stop wanting to even go there... I have a feeling that Elizabeth might just say 'no way'... 12 is going to be such a tough age for her... 11 is already so much 'fun'... Christopher- I'm not concerned about him- he's so easy going, he'll just go with the flow and find something entertaining about wherever he is and whatever he's doing at the minute.

Back to the regularly scheduled fluff...

An overrated dessert at Boma in AKL. Awesome place to eat, but, IMHO, don't waste the calories on a Zebra Dome... go for the coconut tiramisu.

Got my latest Family Fun magazine the other day. There is an ad for Howard Johnson's in it with the whole scoop of ice cream theme. It has a graphic of an ice cream cone with the scoop being a photograph of someone lounging in a pool. Made me think of our double scoop group!

When I was still single I took a trip with some friends (16 of us) down to the BVI. We chartered 2 catamarans and island hopped for a week ... that was the life. Anyway, one of the guys cruising was very creative. He made t-shirts for us. On the front was what looked like a cat face (catamaran, get it?) wearing sunglasses. Inside the lenses were graphics of a girl & guy lounging in the sun. On the back he did a "map" of the islands that we were going to & named each island after each of the people on the trip. I'll have to try to snap a pic of the shirt & put it on the web somewhere. It might spark a few more ideas for our shirt. Don't get me wrong, I do like the ice cream cone idea.

Matt was 14 the last time we cruised and we never saw him. He hung out the club, found a few friends and was gone. They may not spend a great deal of time in the program once they find their friends, but that does seem to be a central hanging place.

We don't worry to much about them once they are on the ship because there will be many people watching them....

I always remember getting lost in Bermuda when I was 9 (that was when kids didn't cruise- no one cared that I was alone)... when my parents finally found me, I was back on the ship, lying on our assigned deck chair by the pool, sweet tea in hand, reading a book. They told me to go back to the ship if we got separated... I certainly wasn't going to sit around the stateroom waiting for the rest of them to get back!!!!!???!!!

Us too - although it was a group of friends at Ft. Wilderness while we were dating, and then Honeymoon at WDW (HJ's in those days), then 10th Anniversary there etc....up to the present.

Well, at 9 and 12 - they can save for their college education if they get hooked and then sell them on E-Bay I think a pin would be a classy edition to the outside of a stocking....We use them as Christmas Tree decorations for a small tree.

Ahh, well you see that explains it...I love BOMA - ate their this past May. But I never seem to get as far as desserts. Too many other great things, esp. the African hot sauce (yummy-smack lips).

Proud to say....no lost keys on this last cruise, and since there weren't any DIS buddies to hang with, the kids were in their beds as soon as the Stack's activities were over. Whew!
